Daniel:
I was able to listen to most of your radio interview on Monday morning and found it to be very enlightening. After hearing about you and your experiences I am encouraged that there is still some hope for western society and the planet afterall, in spite of the fact that government is addicted to the taxes our labors produce and attempts to discourage any behaviors or beliefs that may interfere with that revenue stream.
The radio interview reminded me of the "astonishment" I personally experienced on a few occasions out of the dozens of times I ingested mushrooms and brews while living in Tallahassee, FL in the 1970s. The mushroom use was a weekly ritual for us and the chosen few friends we would share it with. The summer climate there at the time was rainy and tropical and out experiences were of the earth, plants and the woods. Often times a joint would help us deal with the nausea associated with ingesting the toxins.
However, on one particular occasion a friend and I shared a mushroom that departed somewhat in appearance from the mushrooms we were instructed would not poison us. That particular mushroom came from a long dormant cow pasture and, for lack of a better description, resembled a large penis. Back at the house my friend and I diced up the mushroom and ingested it on saltine crackers. Within an hour I was experiencing sights and sensations that transcended any I had experienced before. It took me to a level far past the typical earth and plant images and sensations. Your mention of orthagonal dimensions is close to describing it. It was as if in the background beyond the walls and ceiling of the room were some multi-faceted crystal or fabric structure connecting or underlying everything. It was easy to experience this so long as I didn't force myself to focus on it. My friend claimed to have had very close to the same experience. It was truly insightful and inspiring.
I am reading the excerpts of your book on the web site and plan to purchase a copy. I am also glancing at the discussion groups here.
Best of luck and success.
Regards,
NOLO
