Some people have fabulous mystical DPT experiences and others have troubling sinister ones. Isn't that true for DMT and psilocybin also? It just seems that DPT trips are much more likely to be negative than others.

I would very much like to know the exact origins of DPT: Who discovered it, when it was first used, if anyone knows please write here.

I associate DPT with some particular electric-purplish Luciferic realm - check out essays in the Rudolf Steiner e-library on "Lucifer and Ahriman" and "The Cosmic Ego" for more details.

DPT can be a very difficult psychedelic to work with, but not all of my experiences have been negative. It just has a brutal and relentless energy unless consumed taken orally. The trouble with oral dosing is it usually doesn't work for most people, so other methods (smoking, IM injections) are usually used.

DPT was first made in the 1950's by Szara, along with DET and a few other tryptamines. I am not sure what the origional intention was, but I do believe it was to explore possible psychedelic analogues of DMT. DPT was used in several different forms of psychotherapy. Some information can be found by following this link (http://65.18.176.18/research/sewick.html).

Some of my personal DPT experiences can be found by following the link in my signature. Also, my girlfriend and I had a recent DPT trip which she wrote about. She pretty much sums up my experience as well, so here (http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php3?ID=17532) is the link to that report.
