just sharing of my ayahuasca experience in peru

Hello to the fabulous foreum:
I just came back from iquitos peru and participated in the "healers and scientists" workshop from people all over the globe and would like to share some my experiences.
Having 2 ceremonies before the conference began in an open platform in the jungle, my blissful states took me into a realm of textures and weavings of many sorts. I learned I lived in a round thatched roofed society on the water, which explains my deep love of water and sun. Not important though, but it took me into dimensions of textures and showed me how we are just futher expressions from other realities that just keep living on and on and on. Weavings took me even to metal realiities after doing the natural themes and I FELT textures that were beyond colors and shapes. Funny in the middle of it I was thirsty and I found a bottle of water in the semi dark and drank it. I soared into heavenly realms but was unable to hold it. Later I realized that I had drank from the curanderno's-alter, a bottle that had fallen off. I sheepishly admitted it to him. Percy was cool and explained that it was blessed holy water which explained my accession. (I only noticed when I felt the plants in the water too-what a boob!)
Here is the interesting part, I asked for healings and I was told to heal myself. (more on that later) Well ok, gee wheez, I thought.
I saw many spirits pass over the face of our curenderno (sp?) Very wild I felt I was given that gift to see who visited; some of cultures I recognized and others from beyond.
A Note: 2nd day I am back home trying to face my busy life (I am always shifting through a ton of saved stuff I use for teaching. I came upon some info I had saved from when I did teeshirts for a scottish fair 20 years ago.) My maiden name is a welsh name and I found this written info: Welsh; Arianrhod- a goddess ruler of Caer Sidi a magical realm in the north (The constellation-Corona Borealis is named Caer Arianrhod (Arianrhod's castle) Her name means Queen of the wheel or silver wheel. She is a weaver in control of the interaction of human lives and the matter of creation itself. This explains some of my bloodline and my "pinta" visions.

Anyway back to peru the conference starts and I chose to work with a shaman from the north I met when I went to machu pichu, he is from the sacred valley. He is into san pedro but with a tibetan twist. He is the last of a pure incan line (a sort of blue-blood and he is educated knows computers traveled all over the world speaks english and studied in tibet for several years. He makes us sing and chant for hours after ingesting. (We get breaks and we had just finished swimming in the amazon.) Now we got all sorts of people, some who just want a thrill, some who are just not willing to participate with the group, one guy kept saying to himself, I just keep playing the loser. Not all were willing to work at chanting. There was some fear.
Just then the huggest storm came over and rain came down in buckets, wind, quite a display. Some were not happy and did not come back for the next ceremony. Sayre was happy that we had weeded out the rif-raff and wanted to form a serious group.
A top moment came when I realized that I felt so good that I wanted to send it to everyone I knew, so I closed my eyes and beamed. Just then I was the center and from me in lines like the sun were a thousand eyes raidiating in linear patterns everywhere. Very cool, that's like all that indian stuff, I thought. Rainbows edging everything. I kept wanting to dance and holding my thumb and pointer finger together in the movements.

The next ceremony we did ayahuasca yet chanted for 5 hours straight. A little san pedro to get warmed up and then our first cup. Well I was seeing just fine on that. (Funny how different brews have different flavors, more serious, deep and very powerful.) Then we had to drink another cup the high-tes. Holy crap the visions were so prolific that I decided to take the middle way and put myself into the chanting. It was almost too much. I had wanted to lay down but that was not allowed. I am chanting falling asleep having a visions and waking up to realize that I was still chanting. I met a cat-like human, very sweet.
Here came the great learning. "Heal thyself" made sense. Sound is the key. Certain tones correspond to certain chakras, and certain elements, like water, air, earth, etc. The greater the singing the greater the purge, the cleansing, and downloads of pure energy. It was pretty darn fantastic which shows that if can use sound without herbs. But you have to bring yourself to the table and put your heart into it.

Anyway, yes I did listen to the program many nights between. It was interesting listening to science explain how the dmt exists in our brain latently, and it is activated by the herb drinks, ya know the same stuff creating our dreams. However I want to caution anyone from just doing anything without a guide to protect you from outside influences either from youself or others. Honestly, it ain't anything to play with . . . willy-nilly. I did see one rather scarey character show himself in the passes over the curendaro. Most Peruvians only use it for healing purposes. You are at some sort of portal. For instance I saw my pattern again, something I used to see before I went to sleep as a child or when I was in college, in my experimenting days. We all have a signature shape (shall we say) showing what we are to others beyond the portal. Also with all the dna studies, we are really made of the same stuff of everything. Yet what seperates us is the the recent evolution from the front part of the brain (that is actually what is our human part.) Indeed we all live in a yellow submarine. (I'm dating myself, ha ha!) The rest is all the same but just put together in different combinations. To be human is to be ying and yang.

I hear you on that Isaiah, I am really conservative. My last experience was last year for the first time. Funny never did I have a dark a pinta (visions) only a loving deepening education, that I try to integrate into my teaching of wayward youth/us in "regular" life.
I honestly think it is crazy how some people just smoke it, or even do ayahuasca without ceremony. Without knowing how to protect yourself, you open a portal that exposes you to influences that may be difficult to handle. It is a really big universe out there . . . outside of our bubble. Not my style to just go off, too many people rely on me being grounded. Besides I have too much work that can't be just fucked-off for my own selfish pleasure. I mean this reality is just impossibly incredible enough straight up. A miracle just being alive! I love the mother, our earth.

What a fun idea, but as always I let myself be lead like a lamb and see how it unfolds, maybe down the road. I have a kid I have to get through school.

Thom I adore the rabbit and felt that the being I met pertained to all creatures that have that nose/mouse configuration: like lammas, rabbits, cats, many types.
I will try the website but may have to wait because I am on an old system (9.2.2 macintosh) and upgrades are expensive-gad it took me forever to get everything squared away. Life waits for no one. I am close to making a leap but my ducks-have-to-be-in-a-row.

Isaac, if you don't like DMT, you can drink Ayahuasca with little DMT or even none at all. The idea that DMT is what Aya is about is a recent, western concept. (Which doesn't mean it is not a valid approach, of course, and perhaps what is needed by westerners.)

It was my first 'peak experience' trip. The tones and 'heal thyself', were main themes. As were the elements and a oneness with nature. I saw the entity in the jeweled city and could ask questions but my question 'Why do we pretend we do not know?' answers itself. We do know and we can heal ourselves we just pretend we can't. We do know all the answers but we pretend we don't. We need to trust ourselves and trust existance.

Indeed brother shamus, are we all looking for the next book, experience, drug, prayer that that will cataylize the best for us. I think if we remember that everything is a tool for us to see . . . that which we already know. Even buddha and christ took excursions.
But the rest is up to us. Was it buddha that said, look I could draw you a map but then you have to take it, drink the water, walk through the doorway, so to speak. Not to get off the subject; one thing that christ means to me is the idea that a space-will-be-held-open for you, until you get it. For all muddling around we all do, in our punny selves we can have room to grow and be something beyond ourselves. I am greatful.

I don't know really anything except by my own experiences. But then I was lead by a very skilled leader. I trusted him for it is indeed a sensitive matter.
By midnight I was perfectly sober and able to catch a taxi bike alone to my hotel.

What book was I reading recently where the big deal was how -- oh yeah GEOFF WARD's new book:

"SPIRAL" -- he writes how the spiral form is more universal and basic than the snake. BRAND NEW BOOK RAVED ABOUT BY JOHN MICHELL, other luminaries AND A FORWARD BY COLIN WILSON

Well in fact the form is a double spiral vortex or a klein bottle or a twisted scroll ring or a double torus.

But really the FORM IS THE FUll-Lotus Pyramid Power.

The full-lotus is the six-pointed star as two interlocking equilateral triangles.

The equilateral triangle is the MOST SYMMETRICAL FORM on earth.

But when you measure the length you get an irrational ratio UNLESS the FORM RESONATES INTO THE FORMLESS.

How so -- music enables the ratios to resonate as their complimentary opposites so 4:5 becomes 5:4 as the cube root of two (creating the illusion of 3-D spacetime).

If you sit like that long enough the energy then reflects back to the hand channels and then into the Heart-Mind and resonates further.

Anyway the equilateral triangle is an illusion that resonates as a sine-wave back into the Tai Chi symbol (or the Om) through the ratio resonance DOTS of the Tetrad (1:2:3:4) into Kepler's Secret Symbol (an equilateral triangle with a circle circumscribed and a circle inscribed) -- as 4:5.

Funny about the computer and how it works, reminds me that it is just another divine tool as as plants are too. But then I 'm related to some culture deep into metals but I love the mother earth too. I'm probabaly just another program sent out in the explicit-order to appreciate the mix with the mother earth. I'm down with that.

It's neat that you are popping the top chakra out of "our" hamburger hell or heaven depending where you are. Divisions seem trite.

Ya know I run into many kids from all economic backgrounds and I call them "future mutants" or "futants". Some of them are in dire circumstances but they somehow rise above the rest, even as gansters or the spoiled lucky ones. I don't know if they are hybrids but better them me, to handle the next cycle.
I like to think that there is a universal force/archetype that will provide for unfolding of "dmt" the same stuff as our dreams, or art/meditation-focus-of-the-moment. Will ALL allow for the urchin to develop?
Maybe it is a question of when we hop off the malestruem; we become our hybrid self and join the greater community of delveloping unity wherever your arena/program.

Well jezebelle3 -- speaking of "futants" I just saw the X-men movie which is all about that but the true message is a secret I think.

See if you watch the X-Files Movie (versus the X-men movie!) the scene were the two protagonists are about to kiss? Then the red-head female gets stung by a bee that has the Alien Virus (DMT).

Well in the X-Men movie it's all about the Red-Head Female Jean (whose uncontrollable powers driven by suppressed love -- just like the X-Files) and the goal to "control her."

But the real climax of the Futants is when Jean comes back to life as a Whirlwind Vortex and then kills Steve.

See Jean is supposedly killed at the end of movie by the Male Hero as the true act of love but that's bullshit (that's not the real climax).

The real secret is the FORMLESS COSMIC MOTHER that radiates through the double spiral -- the whirlwind teleporting vortex of Charles Fort (featured in the X-Files cuz it rains frogs).

The Red hair is actually from the Neanderthal's according to Stan Gooch's amazing "Cities of Dreams: When Women Ruled the Earth."

Neanderthals were the true "futants" because they were naturally paranormal, loved sex and gore.

The oldest magic is spreading hematite all over the body -- this was mined in huge pits and tunnels 200,000 years ago!!

I heard biology is the new frontier, but sound is running second.
It's scary to realize that as a species we have de-evolved somehow. I mean places like machu pichu sound must have been used to put those rocks in place, or the wall in cuzo. How come we are smart but really dumb. What spiral thread of ommm will pull the next-clump-of-us past the 50's determinism, in science, religion, relationships.
It is here, that unity but how to use it.
How long does it take to filter down to even the middle east and various "street" rock-brains runnning around.
We say, "so human" part of us knows exactly the condundrum, yet we can't really define it. Just another mathematical wave yet still being human-particles in the great dream from a bigger archetype.

Many good books through amazon because it is a sort of scarce subject in the bookstore.
I can recommend a shaman if you are in Iquitos, but for your first time, it had to be there in the jungle (for me).
It was all worth it for me, the money stretch.
