I sent Daniel a private email but basically what I liked about his first book was the emphasis on natural drugs. I was surprised that his second book didn't reference "The Stargate Conspiracy" because Clive Prince and Lynn Picknett's website discussed how Jose Argulles is part of a broader CIA-led agenda to promote techno-spirituality at the expense of back to the land lifestyles.
I researched this issue after realizing it directly followed my masters thesis, readable online as "epicenters of justice: music theory, sound-current nondualism and radical ecology" 2001.
Arguelles was first published in a theosophist academic journal that then turned into an elite Freemasonic thinktank, the World Institute, set up by the LBJ admin and the UN to oversee global technology development.
You can read about the details as "the actual plan for the Matrix" and "the real matrix" -- both online summaries found by googling them with my name, drew hempel.
The center of this actual Matrix Plan is "the music logarithmic spiral" which was also the topic of my masters thesis.
Basically all science is derived from resonance which is ultimately non-mathematizable, as is seen today in the paradox of the Riemann Hypothesis in macro-quantum chaos science.
Science is derived from Pythagorean shamanism -- the best investigator of this fact is Dr. Peter Kingsley's work, i.e. his OUP book "Ancient mystery, magic and philosophy" 1996.
My lastest research has been on Kepler. He was obsessed with the Pythagorean solids and the fact that Saturn and Jupiter resonate at a 4:5 music ratio. Kepler's main symbol was an equilateral triangle circumscribed and inscribed by circles.
It turns out that two equilateral triangles (also called the Pythagorean Tetrad) create an asymmterical resonance vortex of free energy.
The hands, knees, elbows, spine, feet and hand all fit as the points of the two interlocking triangles while forming the full-lotus Tantric yoga position.
The Tetrad or the equilateral triangle is composed of two 3:4:5 triangles. Arthur Young, one of the main Stargate Conspiracy scientists, along with CIA mind control researcher Dr. Andrijah Puharich, who co-wrote the "actual Matrix Plan," realized that there is an asymmetrical resonance of the natural numbers.
For example the equilateral triangle is based on the square root of three which is the ratio 4:5, the major third. This square root forms the Gaussian basis for the 3 dimensional i-1 grid.
In otherwords the resonance forces the creation of three dimensions.
This resonance violates "exclusion of the middle" Aristotelian logic aka proof by contradiction, the foundation of western science.
For example the Golden Ratio in ancient Greece was A is the B as B is to A plus B which is also 1 is to 2 as 2 is to 3 but in music theory C is to G is 2 is to 3 and G is to C is 3:4.
In otherwords the phonetic symbols of music theory violate a one to one correspondance. Even Alain Connes, the macro quantum chaos mathematician, looks to music theory as proving the formal language for quantum computers.
Nobel physicist Brian Josephson does the same!
The golden ratio is really based on music theory and the major tone is 8:9 which cubed is the Tritone -- the Devil's tone -- because it's composed of an infinite spiral of 2:3 or 666.
Ever since music resonance was closed in as equal-tempered logarithmic ratios, an attempt "to square the circle" there has been an inherent deep disharmony to western science causing the global ecological crisis.
The CIA and the Freemasons want to continue this techno-spiritual agenda, as promoted in John Casti and George Johnson's lastest books.

by the way, isn't that also lyndon larouche's trip? his schiller institute sheep bots also try and convince people that not adhering to the verdi tuning system of some slightly lower hertz rates causes the same kind of winding up psychosis that daniel pinchbeck suggests an astronomical asyncronistic calender system could. i can't believe either of these for one bar of bullschitt.. i'm very much interested in tonal and tuning systems, and there are quite a growing number of designed ones, (i did some phase-type music in a tonal system i created for myself some years ago, before i knew who steve reich and terry riley and all these people were, i thought i was a total visionary) and it seems harmony and disharmony, consonance and dissonance arise within whatever hertz-matrix you invoke, although there seems to be geological and biological vectors that point us towards 'logical' settlements, but i can't wrap my head any real reason why there should exist some one non-corruptive root-key and interval system. it seems by that token dosen't it, that one would at least feel a jerking of one's psycho-gravitational pivot point when one moved the pitch fader on the record player?
drew, your site has some great ideas, and a great bibliography, but you'll have to excuse me for saying that these theories, or maybe rather their conclusions, seem to me to be just a rather exquisite expression of cognitive dissonance.

Thanks for the reply. My masters thesis is anti-copyright and I'm just documenting and synthesizing information. The bibliography is just partial because the person who published the masters thesis just did it on a whim as a volunteer.
If you read the Matrix summaries that I've posted online, it's noted that Einstein praised professor Oliver L. Reiser's "music logarithmic spiral" analysis as an applied superstring theory and that the World Institute was set up through the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton.
George Johnson's book "Fire in the Mind" and John Casti's book "One True Platonic Heaven" update this "actual Matrix Plan" from the 1970s. George Johnson also wrote an earlier book devoted solely to debunking conspiracists and he has an excellent chapter on Lyndon LaRouche. Both Johnson and Casti's more recent books are focused on the Los Alamos Labs and Santa Fe Institute's macro quantum chaos research.
Basically I'm just documenting that the top-funded scientists have much more "spiritual" views than is given credit in more "alternative" discussions.
Lyndon LaRouche is a Platonist, for sure, but I'm a Neo-Pythagorean in line with Dr. Peter Kingsley.
As professor Harry M. Collin emphasizes in his article "from lead to gold" a negative result in experimentation relies on technology to have validity. Isabelle Stenger made the same point about Mesmerism and placebos -- Mesmer was effective but that doesn't constitute a proof in science.
Resonance based on an open definition of infinity goes against the basic attempt to give a precise symbol based on phonetic logic -- i.e. the square root of two, called the "power axiom set."

Also -- and I kid you not -- last night when I sat in full-lotus the energy was really building in my head with all sorts of skull cracking sounds. Normally I don't think too much of that since it's all part of the process to open the third eye.
Then this morning as I glanced into the mirror I had an upside down "V" in the center of my forehead! My head had literally broken open the night before!
I can feel the bone-line in my forehead now as a distinct, new fissure.
Whether this is some kind of cosmic joke for posting on "breakingopenthehead.com" or not who knows!

Maybe it isn't the right thread, but now you're mentioning cospiracies, i would like to ask you (and averybody) about David Icke's claims of a worl wide cospirancie leaded by reptilians.
As far as i can remember, i think it was Michael Harner who reported a trip in wich he saw simillar creatures (i think they were dragons). And the shaman said to him that they were the lords of the darkness, or something like that. I think there is people who link them to the "archons".
BTW, have you heard about sonocytology? It seems that is a new science that is just begin to grow.

OK you can read my blog as "natural resonance revolution" for more details.
I don't believe in progress. Basically humans, as left-hand directed carbon molecules are, through Freemasonic science, transforming left-hand directed ecology into right-hand directed silica-iron apocalypse. It's the cycle of the elements with water is the macro quantum chaos tetrahedral pivot point. The water crisis is way more serious than the oil crisis yet gets ignored because of mass denial about ecology. Water, silica-iron (metal), carbon (earth) and what drives it all -- nonlocal zero-point energy or consciousness.
Phonetic language is left-brained while technology is right-brained and this asymmetry in humans started way back when the proto-hominids became bipedal and the earth went through a global warming about 2 million years ago. The book "The Lop-sided Ape" by professor Michael Corballis is excellent on this and this is the reason why sitting in full-lotus regains the natural symmetry of consciousness -- beyond any evolution or progress.
Hominids left the forest, where SOUND was dominant, and moved out into the drier savannah where right-hand dominance of chipping stone weapons became dominant. The more chips the more accurate the weapon and hence the start of reductionism.
As far as David Icke's shape-shifting reptilians controlling the world. In fact I'm probably the most authoritative supporter of his theory. He published my masters thesis in his email newsletter, along with my "real matrix" expose. Since then I've discovered several Ivy-league anthropology books documenting reptilian shape-shifting -- sources Icke has never ventured into. "In the Eyes of the Night: Witchcraft among the Senegelese" and "Iron, Gender and Power" are two excellent ivy-league books by anthropology Ph.Ds and both document how the blacksmith caste in Africa has complete separation from women and then, through RESONANCE RATIO THEORY, shape-shift into crocodiles.
The Pythagorean Theorem is called the "Power Axiom Set" and Set was the Crocodile god of ancient Egypt. Just a coincidence I guess but when you consider that the legend of Pythagoras is based on blacksmiths then it all starts to look suspect.
Anyway these Archons that you refer to -- or the "elves" that Daniel has seen -- well yes they are lower astral level spirits. I too have seen spirits (dead humans) but they were just these floating orbs of yellow light. My energy level wasn't strong enough to see full-out auras, etc., but I could transmit electromagnetic fields about ten feet around my body for telepathy and even telekinesis!
Again the reason these skills are next to non-existent in the West is because they depend on turning the body into a sine-wave oscillator using ratio as nonlinear, asymmetrical resonance. That resonance is complimentary opposites and destroyed by sexual magnetism.
Otherwise "internal alchemy" is the most efficient means of spirit communication -- since you're not depending on petri dishes with external energy.
This alchemy process is detailed in anthropology books on the oldest modern human culture -- the Koi-San Bushmen of Africa. Read Richard Katz or a recent anthropology professor's excellent analysis "Women Like Meat." The hunters have absolutely no contact with females for 3 days and nights and then there is an all night ritual healing trance dance after meat is eaten. The meat makes the belly hot, along with the dancing around the fire. The extreme heat in the belly, called "num," then transforms the electro-chemical energy, the hormones, into electromagnetic energy which travels up the spine and into the brain.
This "xia" energy is used for healing but sometimes the spirit of the men leaves the body and travels to heaven. Bradford Keeney's new book is quite good on this "Bushmen Shaman" as is the classic "The Harmless People" anthropology book.
Anyway the women often stop the men from spirit traveling because they don't do healing at that point -- they're just gone to heaven!
So even at the origins of shamanism you can see how there is a power balance between the genders and then this power balance is displaced into increasing levels of technology and increasing levels of sex -- the village state cultures where we first see homosexuality as a cultural practice.
A recent book "Origins of Agriculture and the Birth of the Gods" (OUP, 2000) documents how a "symbolic revolution" occurred in 10,000 B.C.E. whereby animistic shamanism was transformed into anthropocentric technology -- all female housing as circles were destroyed and replaced by rectilinear housing for easy iron-weapon, rectilinear plow-based farm expansion.
Squaring the circle is of course the basis of Freemasonry.
Traditional matrilinear village states, in contrast, have a balance of circular and rectilinear housing and the men go into the forest for 3 months straight for shaman training! I read an excellent academic account of this taking place in the Ivory Coast in the 1960s.

Professor Bart Kosko's new book "Noise" should amply demonstrate the principles I researched in my masters thesis.
Kosko has focused on "adaptive stochastic resonance" -- you can read his papers freely online.
The idea is that random noise is necessary for precise signaling in macro quantum chaos analysis -- for Nature as well as nanotechnology.
So the "ampullae of Lorzenzi" -- the cells in shark brains and other primitive fish like the 300,000,000 year old paddlefish -- use
NOISE to accurately perceive and communicate with prey, other fish, etc. via electromagnetic signals.
This is nothing less than telepathy but if you read Dr. Peter Plichta's book "God's Secret Formula" he describes how stochastic resonance also creates equilateral triangle fractals -- Pascal's triangles.
So what appears to be random is actually asymmetrical resonance of consciousness. This is Dr. Plitcha's argument -- a neoPythagorean consciousness that is modeled by natural numbers.
