Bump!

From the inteview: We're trapped in an anxiety of time because we have misconceived its essential nature. I agree with this. In fact I believe I have come to a striking realisation about time and its relationship with consciousness, that is very freeing. Forgive me, but I don't have time to post about it right now.

Best,

Dna.

Hey, good photo of you, Daniel, the one in the 2nd article you posted.

You have a look that I recognise.
A look I see in myself quite often, our collective humour peeking out of our eyes.
We are truly all connected.
More and more often, I see myself all around me.

I read "Down Mailer's Way" by Robert Solotaroff last night -- he notes Norman Mailer was rejected by 6 publishers until finally Putnam picked it up.

Anyway, besides the parallel, Mailer was stuck on Wilhelm Reich's concept of the "genital-sensory system." Reich believed that unless sex energy was released it turned into agression in the heart.

Mailer thought that you could release the energy in a creative way that would also build up more energy.

The problem with all this is that the West lost the knowledge of the 12 harmonic nodes along the outside of the body -- that's called "the small universe" or "the microcosmic orbit." It's described by Mircea Eliade in his book "Yoga and Immortality" as an ancient practice in India but the best source is "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and immortality" trans. by Charles Luk.

The 12 nodes is the only way to sublimate the sexual energy so that the agression (the liver energy) turns into wisdom energy that then opens up the heart energy of love.

Mantak Chia teaches the small universe practice as well but he doesn't tie it into harmonic ratios which gives the practice it's larger societal framework.

4:5 was the Moon god Sin in Sumeria and 4:5 approximates the cube root of two -- transforming harmonic resonance (the major Third) into three-dimensional spacetime energy sublimation.

I note the relationship between sexual energy and agression.

Could this be why sex is often tied up with violence?
Could it be why certain sexual practices like sadomasochism or bondage are attractive to some people?

That's exactly right. Norman Mailer was big into that relationship between sex and violence and Mailer was heavily influenced by William Burroughs who had a definite sadist streak. Mailer stabbed his wife.

Anyway this is Colin Wilson's big schtick as well -- he wrote a whole novel, "Ritual At Dark" or something like that, which preaches

against yoga because Wilson thinks it inevitably creates

sexual perversion and then Wilson argues that serial murders are really driven by a sexual frenzy.

Colin Wilson definitely right -- even President Bush relies on his "below the belt" psychic energy whenever he's out preaching to the public.

But then I guess I'm more tuned into that because according to Wilson I'm a pervert.

I disagree with Wilson about yoga causing perversion.

Certainly Loompanics, for example, has published a book on how religious leaders have become sexual criminals -- by the droves -- but it's not necessary.

Sublimation means that the agression goes back to it's source -- whether you call it "zero point energy" or "consciousness" or "the universe."

It's basically the idea that there is an "ether" -- even Einstein returned to the ether as Max Born understood. Born stated that for Einstein the ether just "had no substance."

It's not a wave-field -- it's formless.

You can infer it's existence by logic. For example, "where does the I-thought come from?" Simple question. Pursue it as an experiment by repeating the I-I over and over in your head, not as a mantra, but as a logical test to investigate it's source.

The space between the thoughts is a fourth-dimension that is formless and then resonates as a field to guide all matter-energy through spacetime.

Time, as frequency, is not limited to space but to

"Hear Time" means "I Heart Me" -- invert the Heart symbol and you get the Tai Chi symbol of Taoism which can also be made by two interlocking Tetrads (equilateral triangles).
