I got up and put on the news and this guy, Richard Clarke defense something-or-other who worked for the white house...he wrote a book about how Bush wanted to talk about nothing but Sadam as the culprit for 9/11 befor the facts were even out, and how no meetings were held in the usual way (as they had under the Clinton administration after the bombing of U.S. ship the Cole). The president sent out what amounted to a police force two months after 9/11 into Afganastan because he had to (he found out that, unfortuatly for him, it wasnt Sadam--and this delay alowed Bin Laden to escape). It seems Bush only conversed with different people in the white house at different times and pushed the Sadam angle. Anyway, that black woman Rice? got on after this guy who wrote the book--and was nervous as hell and trying to do damage control. I couldn't belive what I was seeing. What the fuck is she even doing on the screen? She'd have done better to ignor the whole thing. It was a pathetic Jerry Spinger trip. Aren't these people suposed to be like the George Washingtons of our time? Our leaders right? What is she doing on the tv saying "He had an open door to my office any time to express his concerns"? (Clark was dead set against going into Iraq.) This is history being made and from all evidence they'er all (in the white house)screw-ups! Bush is a dangerous war-making ego-tripping zombie.... I hate all religions, and all religious thinking. And no better are the wealthy--those power freaks, Jesus freaks...Bush the fuckin' cowboy oilboy, world destroyer. I wanna puke.

I thought it was incredible how Condalisa Rice and Scott McClellan presented statements which were IDENTICAL, word-for-word. The Daily Show is having a field day with this stuff. You can't make up better material.

Except for the Arguelles / Jean Gebser ideas about this being a transition period to a new consciousness structure / noosphere, I don't know how else to understand what is going on, and what has happened to these people. They have reached an incredible state of disconnection that must be reflected in their brain chemistry. I do feel that 2000/2001 was the "parting of the worlds" in some way, and that we are now in a phase where the old-style "mental rational" consciousness structure (to use Gebser's term) is nonfunctional - and that this has to presage more massive changes and (I hope) positive ones.

Daniel: I'm really looking forward to your new book being that it's been hinted that it's about The Change eh? I have a theory I'll be putting out eventually. Its about HOW the change will happen. It's based on repeated experiences I've been having every time I trip. Something comes in and enters the head and...anyway it keeps showing me the same thing. I call it the Karma-wave-dance, and it involves the It coming into the psyche for a first hand belief tweek!
