Today as i walked through the centre of the city i spotted a group of people waving Palestinian flags (most of whom were not Palestinian, they were white english guys and girls). There was also a man with a loud speaker shouting out about Israeli use of military force. There were cartoons as well poking fun at Israel's justifications for defensive/offensive actions.
Now im not Jewish, nor am i Arab or Muslim. I am just a self trying to understand the world to whatever extent i can. But one thing i can say about this situation is this. Why do people jump upon such issues, with such zeal when they dont even present an understanding of the conflict. I can understand people wanting to end the conflict, but i cant understand there lack of knowledge on the situation. There is such a bandwagon thing going on at the moment about this particular conflict. Its like the people who wear Che T-shirts and yep you guessed it, they cant tell you 3 things about the guy. What ever happened to trying to understand the reasons behind events?

What you describe in your post makes me think of a quote attributed to Louisiana's populist governor Huey Long (1928 to 1932) who was once asked if America would ever become fascist.

"Sure it will," he supposedly replied, "but they'll call it anti-fascism."
