Anyone else play Videogames?

OK, since this is my favorite (actually only) community to particapate I'm just going to break down the barriers and confess-- I'm a video game junkie. I own something like seven systems (plus the mac) and spend way too much of my disposable income on them. I subscribe to too many video game mags and read them all the time. But the sad truth is I find almost all the games boring! The only games that hold my interest is RPGs other than that I usually stop playing after a few days. I think I'm waiting for some great breakthrough to come. Videogames are like a great unrealized art form. Maybe it'll never happen.

Joking aside, I stay away from video games because they are so good these days and so absorbing. I feel like reading alot lately, and that visual, kinetic kind of entertainment would really suck me in.

If truth is to be told, I am a huge baseball fan as played in real time. I still practice the yoga of hitting, but alas at my age, the practice consists of hitting off a tee into catch net.

Even in the vulgar and degraded form of MLB, the game itself still holds a place in my heart.
