Do we really think this "upcoming war" (which feels to me like it's being publicised like the new Ben Afflect summer blockbuster) will just be a walk in the park. It scares me that Bush and his buddies ae so bold as to think we can just walk in kick a little ass and then walk out with everyone being happy go lucky afterward.

This war will cause unspeakable environmental, Psychological and social reckage throughout the world.

I had a dream that this was the begining of the 9 years war mentioned in Huxley's Brave New World. Perhaps it begins this year 2003, after 9 years it ends in 2012 ( How convienent) Just in time for the true end - just as the Mayans predicted. I do not think that we will all be swept away - but I do think great changes are taking place across the lands and we do have a choice. We can march head on and bomb everything in our way for the matryr of Democracy and Progress or we can try to come to terms with the idea that our gross national product doesn't always have to grow and that unlimited growth is a not only unwise but unhealthy. Stability, balance - these are the keys to our long existance as a people - as humantity. what can we do as an inteligent people and community to support this idea? I'm all ears
