Well it happened. I was warning this would happen ages ago. Thank you Mr Bush for causing deaths on the streets of London. Your war makes us all so very proud.

My girlfriend often has to go through London to get to her college. She is back for the summer though so i have been spared the pain others are going through right now.

If you start wars, then death will come to you. Thats what we are learning. I only hope that that more people will wake up now.

i remember my initial reaction to 9/11 as being very angry, and wanting 'somebody to pay'... i didn't realize at the time that that somebody would be all of us. (i was on 14th st. in nyc when it happened.)

in the years since that event the obvious criminal complicity among US intelligence, and their foster childeren terrorist cells has sobered my knee jerk reaction for vengence.

my reaction to the news this morning was grim. not fatalistic acceptence, but a refusal to get caught up in the emotional games that the media will be gearing up to play in the coming weeks.

i am sorry for the folks who had to pay today, and for those of us who will be made to pay tomorrow.

good luck to everyone out there today, good luck staying centered, and calm, and may you all be in the right place at the right time for everything you're intending to accomplish.

Sword Play

'You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force ... the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security."

This was the essence of Operation Gladio, a decades-long covert campaign of terrorism and deceit directed by the intelligence services of the West -- against their own populations. Hundreds of innocent people were killed or maimed in terrorist attacks -- on train stations, supermarkets, cafes and offices -- which were then blamed on "leftist subversives" or other political opponents. The purpose, as stated above in sworn testimony by Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra, was to demonize designated enemies and frighten the public into supporting ever-increasing powers for government leaders -- and their elitist cronies.

First revealed by Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti in 1991, Gladio (from the Latin for "sword") is still protected to this day by its founding patrons, the CIA and MI6. Yet parliamentary investigations in Italy, Switzerland and Belgium have shaken out a few fragments of the truth over the years. These have been gathered in a new book, "NATO's Secret Armies: Operation Gladio and Terrorism in Western Europe," by Daniele Ganser, as Lila Rajiva reports on CommonDreams.org.

Originally set up as a network of clandestine cells to be activated behind the lines in the event of a Soviet invasion of Western Europe, Gladio quickly expanded into a tool for political repression and manipulation, directed by NATO and Washington. Using right-wing militias, underworld figures, government provocateurs and secret military units, Gladio not only carried out widespread terrorism, assassinations and electoral subversion in democratic states such as Italy, France and West Germany, but also bolstered fascist tyrannies in Spain and Portugal, abetted the military coup in Greece and aided Turkey's repression of the Kurds.

Among the "smoking guns" unearthed by Ganser is a Pentagon document, Field Manual FM 30-31B, which details the methodology for launching terrorist attacks in nations that "do not react with sufficient effectiveness" against "communist subversion." Ironically, the manual states that the most dangerous moment comes when leftist groups "renounce the use of force" and embrace the democratic process. It is then that "U.S. army intelligence must have the means of launching special operations which will convince Host Country Governments and public opinion of the reality of the insurgent danger." Naturally, these peace-throttling "special operations must remain strictly secret," the document warns.

Indeed, it would not do for the families of the 85 people ripped apart by the Aug. 2, 1980 bombing of the Bologna train station to know that their loved ones had been murdered by "men inside Italian state institutions and ... men linked to the structures of United States intelligence," as the Italian Senate concluded after its investigation in 2000.

The Bologna atrocity is an example of what Gladio's masters called "the strategy of tension" -- fomenting fear to keep populations in thrall to "strong leaders" who will protect the nation from the ever-present terrorist threat. And as Rajiva notes, this strategy wasn't limited to Western Europe. It was applied, with gruesome effectiveness, in Central America by the Reagan and Bush administrations. During the 1980s, right-wing death squads, guerrilla armies and state security forces -- armed, trained and supplied by the United States -- murdered tens of thousands of people throughout the region, often acting with particular savagery at those times when peaceful solutions to the conflicts seemed about to take hold.

Last month, it was widely reported that the Pentagon is considering a similar program in Iraq. What was not reported, however -- except in the Iraqi press -- is that at least one pro-occupation death squad is already in operation. Just days after the Pentagon plans were revealed, a new militant group, "Saraya Iraqna," began offering big wads of American cash for insurgent scalps -- up to $50,000, the Iraqi paper Al Ittihad reports. "Our activity will not be selective," the group promised. In other words, anyone they consider an enemy of the state will be fair game.

Strangely enough, just as it appears that the Pentagon is establishing Gladio-style operations in Iraq, there has been a sudden rash of terrorist attacks on outrageously provocative civilian targets, such as hospitals and schools, the Guardian reports. Coming just after national elections in which the majority faction supported slates calling for a speedy end to the American occupation, the shift toward high-profile civilian slaughter has underscored the "urgent need" for U.S. forces to remain on the scene indefinitely, to provide security against the ever-present terrorist threat. Meanwhile, the Bushists continue constructing their long-sought permanent bases in Iraq: citadels to protect the oil that incoming Iraqi officials are promising to sell off to American corporations -- and launching pads for new forays in geopolitical domination.

Perhaps it's just a coincidence. But the U.S. elite's history of directing and fomenting terrorist attacks against friendly populations is so extensive -- indeed, so ingrained and accepted -- that it calls into question the origin of every terrorist act that roils the world. With each fresh atrocity, we're forced to ask: Was it the work of "genuine" terrorists or a "black op" by intelligence agencies -- or both?

While not infallible, the ancient Latin question is still the best guide to penetrating the bloody murk of modern terrorism: Cui bono? Who benefits? Whose powers and policies are enhanced by the attack? For it is indisputable that the "strategy of tension" means power and profit for those who claim to possess the key to "security." And from the halls of the Kremlin to the banks of the Potomac, this cynical strategy is the ruling ideology of our times.

The warning contradicts the fact that the original explanation of a power surge went out for an hour or more. They knew it was an attack but put out a false explanation. Plus why did Netanyahu get a warning and the victims didn't?

We have been told that the events unfolding today were "inevitable", London's transport network has been hit with multiple explosions. Both the Underground and Buses have been hit. Events are still unfolding.

We predicted this would happen over a year ago after analyzing the propaganda and fearmongering that was being ratcheted up to the extreme in London. Paul Joseph Watson has predicted these events as imminent several times on The Alex Jones Show in recent months.

Tony Blair is not in London but safely tucked up in Scotland with 7 other World Leaders including President Bush. The political eyes of the world are on Britain this week. The Mayor of London Ken Livingstone is in Singapore where the IOC has just awarded the Olympic Games to London, he is rushing back to the city.

Just like the events of 9/11, ask yourself, who stands to gain from this? Could this have been organized by any group other than one who has direct unlimited access to all areas of London's transport grid at all times?

The similarities with the Madrid bombing of 3/11/04, which we have persistently highlighted as an inside intelligence operation, are stark with bombs on separate trains set off within minutes of each other as the trains neared the stations. The so called perpetrators were quickly linked to an "Al Qaeda" cell in Europe but later as we reported were linked to the Spanish Security service (http://prisonplanet.tv/articles/june2004/062104madridbombers.htm). This has MI5 written all over it. Just watch that national ID card legislation sail through. Only 15% of the country supported the government after the last election, this will ensure total fealty to a smarmy Blair and whatever he wants to do. Ken Livingstone and the opposition parties will now have no grounds to reject ID card legislation, especially with the Olympics coming to London in 2012.

The police state measures they'll get out of this will be overlaid onto all forms of transport. In fact, you won't be able to travel without the ID card. Although MI5 operations are normally more sophisticated than things like 9/11, in that the evidence linking it to the government is more carefully covered, just watch for the evidence of inside involvement to trickle out. MI5 have been caught involved in IRA bombings multiple times over.

Alex has said over and over that as attacks on different sections of the transportation grid occur they are going to have police state setup in the areas. Now it will be on the buses, subways etc.

The military-industrial complex has the motive in this latest atrocity. Every major western government, including the British, has been caught red-handed carrying out bombings against their own people and blaming it on external enemies. It is mainstream news in Spain that the government was involved in the 3/11 bombing. The London 7/7 bombings are nothing different. Government ghouls are now all over television spreading the fear to encourage the people to submit to the war on terror. Support our work, spread the word, expose who is gaining power from terrorism, or our freedoms will be lost.

Hours after the attacks the media is still not providing extensive coverage. We would expect to see hundreds of eyewitness accounts and footage of the train stations. Independent London reporter Simon Aronowitz, who has a contact within the BBC, has reported that journalists are finding the coverage of the situation highly irregular. It seems that the information being released to the British public is being carefully stage managed.

Scotland Yard Reportedly Tipped Off.

An Israeli official reportedly said that Scotland Yard had called the security officer at the Israeli Embassy to say they had received warnings of a possible attack moments before the blasts. The official added the former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to stay at his hotel rather than attend an economic conference at a hotel located above one of the Underground stations where the blasts occurred. There are also unconfirmed reports that British police had begun evacuating passengers from some trains prior to the bombs going off. However, British media were reporting this morning that British police officials are saying they had no warnings of the attacks.

I buy the whole US Govt complicity in 9/11 - there is way to much hard evidence. Madrid? - much less so, and London - we will have to see. MAdrid and London are actually low tech, its not that hard to do that type of operation. 9/11 is another matter...like how does a plane fly into the pentagon past the missle defence systems? hmmmm.

Most people have some trouble with Alex. For the most part, its probably the difficulty that people have accepting the unpleasant information that he reveals. And then there is his "intense" personality - lots of ego. And his background may be different from yours or mine - he comes from a place of right-wing Christianity. Although he is now far beyond left-wing, right-wing - in fact a major part of his trip is exposing the right/left, liberal/conservative, republican/democrat game that is put upon us to keep everyone confused and divided and to make people think we live in a democracy. As for being a Christian, this is not something that he puts across heavily in his material.

I first found out about Alex after watching Waking Life. If anyone here has not seen Waking Life - get ahold of it now! One of the most interesting films ever made. Richard Linklater employed some new techniques to make this a very visually interesting film. I think its called rotoscope - the actual film is colored on to make it look like animation. The film consists of a series segments with very interesting people, who the main character encounters as he is dreaming. He keeps thinking he has awakened but it turns out he is still dreaming. Lots of very interesting philosophical conversations, many of them concerning dreams and lucid dreaming. Totally awesome film!

Anyway, one of the characters in the film is Alex Jones. He is the guy in the car with speakers on top ranting and raving about freedom. His segment really struck me and I asked a friend who this was. She said "You don't know about Alex Jones?!" She brought me a documentary about him and soon after that his first 9-11 docu came out "9-11 - The Road to Tyranny". Before seeing that I was not political at all and suspected nothing about 9-11 - hey they showed us the photos of the bad guys who did it, right? After seeing that film I was never the same. Have seen many Alex Jones films since then. His newest one "Martial Law" is pretty good. He can be hard to take - he screams and yells, he is not a genius, he mispronounces words, jumps to conclusions, and you can sometimes see his right-wing Christian backgound coming through. But he is totally a good guy and is on the case of exposing the global terrorists (the Bush gang, etc.) FULL-TIME. He has a radio show 3 hours a day, a daily TV show in Austin, and has released about 12 documentary films in the last few years. Don't ignore the message because you don't like the messenger. There is no one else who goes as far to reveal who the real terrorists are, what they have done, and what they are up to. Of course his work is only one angle, one part of the picture, but a very important one.

Alex is very special. Check out his scene in Waking Life to see his true spirit and watch one of his DVDs (with an open mind) if you dare.

the attacks in london seem very easily with in the capabilities of traditional terrorist cells...

seriously i agree with most of what you said there. Im very aware of intel/terror links - like CIA operatives fighting with Al Q in Chechneya and the balkans during the 90s etc. Also the links beteewn the ISI in Pakistan and the CIA and Al Q. All very scary, and its true no one wants to hear this. But i would also stress what Daniel said - There are terrorists out there who wantto do this type of thing and have the means to pull it off. Im not actually coming down either side of the fence on the London bombing (in terms of who did it), i remain open minded.

In the absence of solid evidence indicating who the bombers were, skepticism should be applied to all hypotheses of blame -- including the official one.

I also read an article somewhere (that I unfortunately can not find now) that said that AP reports had been edited, first saying that the London police had been warned of the bombing ahead of time, and then the later edits said that the police had only been warned after it happened. That, if correct, reeks of the same kind of deception that happened on 9-11.
