Just Plain Breaking

When I first began to post on this web site I was #155 and wondered how quickly the number would increase and to what effect it would have.

Today as the number of the newest registered person is 432 it is clear at least to me that those who have thought the human may be hardwired for small groups might be on to an important concept. The numbers that I have heard about is as low as 45 while I think the higher number was around 400.

We have been in our current human form for 150,000 years according to the latest findings in Ethiopia. The ability to be in large groups is only about 12,000 years or at the beginning of domestication of animals and agriculture. Writing is said to be 9,000 years old.

The fall into history as Terence McKenna often described it has been our burden. If anything is feeding the 2012 question it is whether we pull out of our nosedive or crash into specie decimation

The current exchanges of posts, mine included, have shown that work is needed to come to terms with this conundrum.

Nosedive and ascension seem to be simultaneous processes right now. I can only suspect where the whole thing is going, but everything does seem to be right on schedule to me.

As Arguelles writes: "The universe is God's art piece, and we all have leading roles to play."

It is like the process of birth: Somebody who didn't know what was happening would only see the blood and shit, screams and misery - but then suddenly, you have new life.

Your paradigm of giving birth is also the one that I hold on too. It is as H. G. Wells said, "the race for the future is between education and catastrophe".

The drama at times does seem overwhelming.

It is less overwhelming when you realize that the model of mass consciousness transformation tried in the 1960s may not be necessary or the way to go.

What may be necessary instead is the acceptance of the new paradigm and the intensification of consciousness on the part of a small group, that then gets transmitted (via Sheldrake's "morphogenetic fields") across the planet as the "new mutation" appears.
