The first issue of Metacine is now slated for Dec/Jan. I really want to encourage participants on the BOTH board to propose articles for us. They can do it here or contact me via email. If they have art or visual material to contribute, they can contact our art director at e@erikarand.com.

I am most interested in specific journalistic pieces at this point in time. Many people who write for this board are clearly gifted thinkers and writers. Many have also never tried journalism before. Journalism is a very "do-it-yourself" kind of a field. Once you have determined your subject, you then figure out who you could speak with who could provide you with information related to your topic. Some interviews will be background, and some will produce quotes that can be used in the pieces. If people don't get back to you, you find other people to contact, and you keep going until you have the information and quotes that you need.

The range of topics we intend to develop is posted at www.metacine.net. (http://www.metacine.net.) I am interested in specific tools, techniques, and technologies in areas ranging from ecological design to shamanism, from progressive uses of new technologies to community organizing tactics. Pieces that don't fit into the magazine may be published on the Website we will develop.

I really encourage you BOTHers to consider yourselves as deputized journalists - and use journalism as a tool to answer pressing questions that you have, and to discover information that fascinates you. The ultimate goal of Metacine is to create a template for a new planetary culture that can supplant our current criminal and greed-based civilization that is currently crashing to the ground.

If anyone queried me and didn't get a response, please query me again!

Hi. I have a lot of things I would like to contribute. I have a theory posited by one Harland Harrison on consciousness and the mind. Harland may want to contribute. I haven't asked him yet. I have music. Not sure how that would factor into a magazine. I know some artists, they may want to do something. Anyway I'll work on this this week and get back to you. I assume the proper email address to send submissions to is on the metacine website. Ok. Late. Let me know of you'd appreciate my expositing anything on this message board. I have a lot to contribute. Anyone else who is interested can pm me or sent email to zach walters (all one word) at comcast dot net. Thanks

you can post a sample here. Metacine became Evolver, and now both are on hold. I am still interested in editing the anthology that i described in an earlier post.

I was thinking the other day about different ideas that would be worthy of investigation.

I thought a paper on the effect of DMT on the conciousness of Christian Pastors would be interesting.

going on the possibilites that this experience might change them completely.

another idea was the effects of DMT on the Blind.
Someone who has never seen this world before.

Back in 2000 i had the chance to share this experience with a parapeligic at a outdoor Trance event in the Canadian Pacific northwest Forest. We smudge him and put a huge crystal on his lap.

Although i dont see him often, ever time i do, he makes sure to remind me how profound that experience was for him.
an intersting side note.....

I will go through my writtings and choose some that i feel would be worthy contributions to this project.
