View Full Version : 2012TROQ or TEOTWAWKI?

Many posts now, many comments, and I shall add my peep , too:

Quixotic - disjointed - full of concepts and messages but why do I see a frying egg in my minds "I"?

Daniel, man. where are you? (Syd Barrett notwithstanding...)

You are so correct in your lambsting of polyamory, and the flesh failures of monogamy; that in itself deserves it's own treatise, but (huh, huh, did you ever, um, do it with first priestess, um, yea, heh heh, he said said "do it", schwanggg...) what does that have to do with Feathered Serpents, channeling surfing and TEOTWAWKI?

In 2003 I read BOTH and I related relevence to "A MILLION LITTLE PIECES", by James Frey... Well now, at least the Raelian movement wasn't espoused.

2012TROQ was read between "The Mighty and the Almighty" by Madeleine Albright (not since "Magazine" have I encountered more Tulpas.) and an interrupted reading of "The World Is Flat [Updated and Expanded]: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century" by Thomas L. Friedman. (I had to put town the latter at page 31 and find this); there is just all too much to process now.

So the spirit moves some, something plays with crops,
( www.paranormalnews.com/article.asp?ArticleID=192 (http://www.paranormalnews.com/article.asp?ArticleID=192) , or, www.swirlednews.com/images/pics/Chilboltonboth-400.gif (http://www.swirlednews.com/images/pics/Chilboltonboth-400.gif) - why did you not include photographic interpretations of these events?) neurotransmitters fire indiscriminately in the wrong place and time, and what have we to process as a result?

A new Y2K for a new generation of postalqaedic prophets, or Chicken Little for the Medicine Men?

I liked it better when we were all just DEVO.

I SHOULD resonate with this - I am only 3 years older than you, Daniel, and yet, the overriding reply, even as a human being, father, a husband, a creator myself, is, "so what?"

Unless one is worried about leaving capital for their decendants or hoping for a personal monument, what is the point? Are we talking here about extinction or just no IM and Cable TV?

Surely 2013 will arrive, and there will be no Abrahmic apocalypse, but your job may be outsourced... Maybe Soylent Green won't happen, nor "Brade Runnah", but life will go on...

And if not, well, then, will it really matter at all?

what's the point?

That's a great question! One asked in detail and with ernest by Carl Boyer in his "The History of Calculus" -- Dedekind used set theory to try to finally pin down the logical paradoxes in calculus.

You see calculus depends on logarithmic axioms which are based on deductive reasoning by contradiction. Yet calculus, using the continuum, tries to transcend logarithms.

So it wasn't just Bishop Berkeley declaring that if a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it then it didn't really happen and by way of reasoning the infinite is wrongly applied in calculus.

Even the more practical scientists found some serious hang ups in this oh so high and mighty tool of science.

So Dedekind's answer (beyond B. Russell's dispute of set theory) was that "the point" enables the continuum to be cut for axiomatic math.

Yet "the point" is not logic -- it's a right-brain concept -- visual and intutive.

"the point" is not Time yet Plato stated that "time is the image of eternity."

How can time be an image? The answer is the sine wave or the Tetrad as a pyramid of points and in there lies the rub of our story.

The resonance of the SNAKE -- the Tetrad as Pythagoras -- takes us back to

THE FORMLESS (beyond any point).

Any yet the formless, is real, has real consequences and causes time to be asymmetrical.

Science is supposed to be symmetric -- the logical axioms are symmetric -- but the results are asymmetrical because left-brain logic (math) is dependent on right-hand physics (technology).

This fucks up left-hand carbon-based molecules (nature) and replaces it with right-hand iron and silica molecules (as metal and fire).

The pivot for all of this is water ( a tetrahedral, pyramid power of the SNAKE -- Leviathan -- Chaos).

And Jose Arguelles has already stated this but then he is part of The Stargate Conspiracy -- a CIA military think tank propaganda campaign to ready us earthlings to be true creatures of the

apocalypse (apopis the Egyptian goddess of formless truth).

Drew if you could set all that to music I'd be very interested to hear what it sounds like. Did you see that some Japanese scientist figured out what Mona Lisa sounded like when she talked by studying the underlying bone structure evident in the painting. At first, they thought they'd put her voice in Japanese but then they decided on Italian. I wonder if Italian can be spoken with a Japanese accent.

Dedekind apparently was a high school math teacher in Germany or Austria (I can't remember). Quite a luminary for a such an unexalted post (unexalted that is, in the pantheon of famous mathematical professors). But his example inspires hope for the rest of us.

I wonder if before him people asked "What's the point?"

Well for history of science I recommend Paul Feyerabend via Wendy Doniger O'Flaherty's awesome book "Dreams, Illusions and other Realities" (mid 1990s)

She literally took over Mircea Eliade's position at U of Chicago and her work is published by Oxford, etc. -- yet it's very radical.

So she points out that western science continually argues that non-western science has an infantile philosophy of science which can not perceive logical paradoxes.

She gives the example of the Hausa. They are taught to believe their dreams are real until 10 years old (just like we believe in Santa Claus, etc.) Then they are taught no these are just dreams (just as we do as adults)

Then by the time they really are adults -- say 18 -- the Hausa have mastered the fact that being awake is also a type of dream and dreams themselves enable a person to travel outside their body, etc.

That's the REAL adult position but in our culture we insist such non-western cultures continue to live in the first state (ages 10 and younger) while we, as adults, are stuck in the second state (ages 10 to 18) even though we maybe 40 or 50, etc.

She then points out that Feyerabend takes Thomas Kuhn's paradigm revolution paradigm for science and pushes it to it's logical extreme of absurdity so that all concepts are deemed just as much false as truth.

What remains is, in Hindu culture, called "moksha" (liberation) but the process to get there (samsara) is the way of the Snake -- the trance dance of the Koi-San.

i was going to comment on your 'Stargate=CIA conspiracy' strand a little earlier drew... it fits nicely with what i've felt about the likes of Leary (who's 8 neurocircut model is still valuable), and castenada (who's still a fraud) being cultural disinformation agents...

interesting train of thought you've got there...

...what's good old Jose been up to lately btw? i know some one who coresponds with him infrequently, and claims he's been spending 90% of his time in silent contemplation/meditation since leaving a formal tibetean buddhist community he was a part of...

could be that at one time he was a disinfo agent, and now like economic hitman John Perkins, he's cut that loose?

who knows...

(...the Shadow knows.)

meditation -- cool. Yeah http://skolnicksreport.com -- sherman skolnick just passed on -- he did some amazing exposes on the CIA funding the new left through front foundations -- J.B. Kaplan funding the Nation for example. Then that book was published a few years ago on the CIA cultural wars -- covered in http://covertaction.org

Pretty much anything non-communist was infiltrated to make sure the Commies were painted as the evil empire.

Gotta keep Wall St. flowing.

that sherman skolnick website wouldn't come up but if you just google his name there are mirror sites.
