Not sure if anyone of you listen to Tool, but these are some lyrics from one of their songs off their new cd "10,00 days". The song is called "Rosetta Stoned", here are the lyrics:

ROSETTA STONED
All righty then... picture this if you will...
10 to 2 am, X, yogi DMT, and a box of krispy kreme's in my "need to know" pose just outside of area 51, contemplating the whole chosen people thingy when just then a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my birkinstocks, and me yelping "holy fuckin' shit!"

then the X file being, looking like some kinda blue green Jackie chan, with Isabella Rossellini lips, and breath that reeked of vanilla chig champa, did a slow mo matrix decent outta the butt end of the banana vessel, and hovered above my bug eyes, my gaping jaw, and my sweaty elron hubbard upper lip and all I could think was, "I hope uncle martin here doesn't notice that I pissed my fuckin pants!!"

so light in his way, like an apparition, that he had me crying out...
"fuck me! It's gotta be the dead head chemistry. (the) blotter got right on top o' me. Got me seeing E mutha fuckin T!

and after calming me down with some orange slices and some fetal spooning, E.T. revealed to me his singular purpose. He said. "you are the chosen one. The one who will deliver the message. A message of hope for those who choose to hear it, and a warning for those who do not." Me! The chosen one. They chose me!!!! And I didn't even graduate from fuckin' high school!!

Then he looked right through me with somniferous almond eyes. Don't even know what that means. Must remember to write it down.
This is so real. Like the time Dave floated away. See, my heart is pounding. cuz this shit never happens to me.
Can't breathe right now.

It was so real. Like I woke up in wonderland. all sorta terrifying. I don't wanna be alone while I tell this story.
And can anyone tell me why y'all sound like peanuts parents?
Will I ever be coming down?
This is so real. Finally it's my lucky day See, my heart is racing cuz this shit never happens to me.
Can't breathe right now.

You believe me don't you? Please believe what I've just said. See, the dead ain't touring and this wasn't all in my head. see they took me by the hand and invited me right in. then they showed me something. I don't even know where to begin.

Strapped down to my bed, feet cold and eyes red.
I'm out of my head am I alive? Am I dead.
Can't remember what they said. God damn. Shit the bed.
Overwhelmed as one would be placed in my position...
Such a heavy burden now to be the one
Born to bear and bring to all the details of our ending.
to write it down for all the world to see.
But I forgot my pen. Shit the bed again. Typical.

Strapped down to my bed, feet cold and eyes red.
I'm out of my head am I alive? Am I dead.
Sun kissed and Sudafed Gyro scopes and infrared
won't help. I'm brain dead. Can't remember what they said.
God damn. Shit the bed.

Can't remember what they said to me.
Can't remember what they said to make me out to be the hero.
Can't remember what they said.
Bob help me.
Can't remember what they said.

We don't know and we won't know.
God damn shit the bed.

I think its interesting that they (Tool - or Maynard - vocalist) decided to write about this type of experience.

To correlate it to Daniel Pinchbeck's, as well as Jose Arguelle's, Ian Lungold's and possibly other's prophetic/ archetype experience. It seems to be a interesting connection, or over analysis on my part.

Maynard's been on that track since I met him hanging out as a punk rock art student years ago...who knew where he was headed...I think Aenima also shows this inclination toward a change (mom's comin round to change it back to the way it oughtta be-paraphrased). He (and the band) are deep in the know and not light day trippers who may stumble on ETs. Hope they keep it coming. It's been too long a break for them.

Thanks for posting those lyrics--I had wondered about them since I listened to the album but hadn't been able to make much of it out through listening to it.

Tool isn't the only band that's talking about aliens and messiahs. Have you heard the new Mars Volta album? The lyrics are immensely surreal, but they also contain a hidden message in much the same way that "Rosetta Stoned" does. In my opinion, a lot of the Mars Volta album is about the Christian church and the government and the pious mask that evil sometimes wears.

Here are some lyrics:

"Meccamputechture"

Amputechture came
Philistine praise
Bottomless pit of empty maze
Incarcerated habit
Poured from the palms
Never read the press
Nothing up his arms

Beneath those locks
Of dirty red hair
A necklace of follicles with sabertooth monocles
They want a bouquet of black rose gems
Cascading kisses, stalactite stems
They went and built a capsule in the cyanide rut
Where the holiest of water would have you to drown

Tomorrow we forget
Cause now is never left
You gotta find my body
In the Mecca-context

You give me your corpse
You're living in now
You're staring from
Unkempt nourishment prows

You give me your corpse
You're living in now
You're staring from
Unkempt nourishment prows

Please dismantle all these phantom limbs
It's the evidence of humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments

Everyone stabs all the time
Persuasion deflowers your sympathy
Everybody's chosen to help
These shovels in burying me

This dirt
Is turning Christ and make repent again
So I've heard
They're cutting all the youngest ones
Said this dirt
Is turning Christ to make repent his lust
So I've heard
That the puppet tugs its wool

Please dismantle all these phantom limbs
It's the evidence of humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments

Everyone stabs all the time
Persuasion deflowers your sympathy
Everybody's chosen to help
These shovels, you're burying me

Now for meat
The pin had slit, whispers of bovine heaps
Swept to unearth a Magdalene's flowers
Prune fungus who tug in a zealot's shroud

I abscond supreme truth
As it touches this house
I abscond supreme truth

Please dismantle all these phantom limbs
It's the evidence of humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments
Humans as ornaments

I abscond supreme truth
As it touches this house
I abscond supreme truth
As it touches this house

Everyone stabs all the time
Persuasion deflowers your sympathy
Everybody's chosen to help
These shovels in burying me

Everyone stabs all the time
Persuasion deflowers your sympathy
Everybody's chosen to help
These shovels in burying me

It lacks a human pulse
It lacks a human pulse
It lacks a human pulse
It lacks a human pulse
It lacks a human pulse
It lacks a human pulse
It lacks a human pulse -- I know for sure now
It lacks a human pulse -- Don't know for sure how
It lacks a human pulse -- Ah, ah, ah

You don't even have to listen to the words (although how can you resist?) to palpate that these guys know what's what. Especially with Maynard, you can hear his presence in the strength and clarity of his voice. Sleeping people don't sound like that.

So Humming, ever been to an Oracle event? Ever see Donald Glaude bring down the house? I love the NW!

The new cd is so relevant. The tribal type drumming says a lot.

.......

Tool are 'deep in the know', I agree, and I know
that Alex Grey is a huge fan, and I love Alex,
and yet- to me, musically speaking,
some of it still sounds like Metallica circa 1991 (Enter Sandman).....

Not that that's a bad thing, I'm just sayin'.......

Anyone ever listen to Mos Def's Black on Both Sides? Mos knows.
