Daniel, I am a 19 student in DE and I came across your book The Return of Quatzecoatl in the High Times (not gonna lie Im an avid stoner) issue and I read it and I was wondering that if the people that experiment with hallucinigenes (sp) like mushrooms, in the way McKenna did, do you think these people who trip for more reasons then just to trip might be the new age shamams when we enter the "Fifth World" after Quatzecoatl returns and we revurt back to the ways of ancient cultures, just a lil somethin I thought of after I tripped a few weeks ago..anyone got any input

X,

My understanding is that the use of psychtropic plants and substances allows you to tune into a wider spectrum of information. If you are disposed towards spiritual growth and shamanism, you will interpret the additional information in this context, and may return with useful insights for both yourself personally, and for your community as is the case with a traditional shaman.

If you are doing this recreationally, you probably won't be looking for these things and therefore won't find them.

some say
"brake on through to the other side"

others say;
"there is a crack in everything, thats how the light gets in"

i say;
there exists a secret palace high above the ground from
where the fungi grow.

at the palace, you will find a tower, inside the tower is a bell.
you must ring that bell 7 times.

if you are lucky, you might wake up the fairy (that is without it's 5 senses) by sheer vibration.

she will quench your thirst for wisdom, cosmic connection, and profound love.

sometimes the ingridients in the vile are more powerful then other times. after all, life can't always be an orgasm.

there is one catch however, in order to get inside the palace walls you must first walk through the labyrinth garden that protects the bliss fairy.

you must do it blind-fold. this is done through discipline by the mind willing body and faith feeling heart. integrity in depth.

while it is not a commodity easily available to anyone. it is yours forever, free and legal.

p.s.

by the way, her name (the fairy) is AMRITA.

I know her cousin, friend of the Mazateks, Cubinses. I know about the labyrinth and the place of learning. You must go with the intention of learning not escaping. Ideally go alone and in nature start in evening and don't peak untill it's dark and hang on for the ride. Pre-think questions to ask is sometimes easier than thinking them up on the spot. Make sure they are solid deep questions with or without answers. Feel the flow and go man go!
