As i understand it the practise of Yoga is based around the cleansing and releasing of a serpent energy that resides in the base of the spine. Coiled three times around the root Chakra, this energy can be awakened by various methods. When awakened this energy rises up to the head, where a spiritual fusion takes place, and this results in the release of neurotransmitter chemicals which give one the experience of 'in-light-in-men-t. A sense of Oneness with the Universe, the Anagram of the word UNIVERSE puts it right: EVER IN US.


This can happen various times over ones life, the energy flows back down the spine and can lodge itself in one of our Chakra's, typically we have Seven, there are traditions whom believe there are more.
This can be accomplished by the repitition of body postures or Asana's, prolongated sexual behavior, as well as retention, there are various extreme practises that are found throughout India. Such as cutting the underneath of the tongue so the Pineal Gland can be milked of the Nectar called "Amrita".


My first experience of meeting my Kundalini was in 1999 at Psy-Trance Party. I had recently discovered that I could literally use the Trance inducing rhythms to navigate the Astral realms, as well as greatly inhancing the visionary aspect of my favorite entheogen:LSD. I quickly learned that this music had originated in India by acid heads. Wow, Music made by acid heads for acid heads, I was in Love.
Not only the LSD, but DANCING. I fell in love with dancing, I had only been to concerts, where i slamdanced to Primus, Janes Addiction, RHCP, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Rage against the machine ect...

But this was different, it was like Drumming, except i used my whole body. I knew that dancing was a important aspect of the shaman, After about 5 hours of closed eyed dancing, drinking energy drinks, and a bottle of water with a good amount of Lysergic power, I felt this burning sensation at the base of my spine. And i found that as i moved to the Psy-Trance, it rose up into my head, and then i began to really have visions, i remember looking at everyone on the dancefloor, and i could see that those who had been with me from the start were also experiencing deep visionary trance.
Around the same time i began to have expereinces of possession. My eyes would roll back in my head, my mouth would twist in various poses, my breathing took on a steady pronounced rhythm, and my body would leap and move in super mode.
I would even have spontaneous boughts of glossilalia.
So this is bascially where the gears of what path i was going to take in life really took off.

The difference between shamanism and Yoga, is that The shaman uses the Power plants to tune his consciousness to the phrequency of the spirit realm.
The reason they work is that the brain has naturally the receptors that DMT stimulates.
The brain's Pineal Gland is capable of producing its own version of Ayahuasca.

So what may take a serious yoga student 25 years to accomplish and Master, takes the shaman a few minutes, using the snuff, and a hour using the Tea.
Now i'm speaking solely of the visionary capabilites of Yoga,
The daily practise of Asana's is as well healthy and good for the Body, as well as the mynd. People who practise Yoga, i find to be calm, centered and somewhere between Lucid and grounded. There complextion is usually good, and it definitley is inspiring.
BUT.
No one in my 30 years that i've met who practises yoga has ever explained a visit to the visionary realms of the Plant Gnosis.
For those of you who have not used DMT but practised yoga, unfortunatly could never really grasp the intensity of spiritual transformative powers of DMT through words alone, even with the talent of writing that the authors who go to these spaces describe.Or poets like myself who are pushed to try and piece together new words....mathemagical...neuronautical,,,,trancefor mutation....

And like wise i could never understand what it's like to practise Yoga every day and the peace it brings into your life.
I'm too enveloped in the Chaostraphy of change that mutates me at every moment of infinity..through the use and experimentation of drugs.
But we can understand ourselves through the science and demystification of Yoga.
It appears to me that the Yogi strives to achieve a state of perpetual bliss, and release of suffering..ect...whilst the shaman actually masters this realm and manipulates this realm, befriends the beings in this realm, uses it to better the community, and heal, as well as the flip side of sorcery.

What you have done is fascinating but you are wrong about shamanism. the Koisan are the culture of 90% of human history but only rarely are drugs used and only by the females.

So the real issue is the principles behind both drugs and yoga -- as you used music and dancing so do the drugs-- which are just spiral forms.

The secret is that all visions,powers, come from FORMLESS awareness which can not be visualized.

Sound is the only sensation controlled by the prefrontal cortex. Logic of sound enables us to resonate with formless awareness which then creates visions.

The full-lotus for 20 minutes is worth 4 hours of any other body practice. The full-lotus enables healing, telepathy, precognition and telekinesis.

The full-lotus is just Body Music. When the Koi-San go deep into healing then they also collapse on the ground and leave their body. The community watches over them. The full-lotus is a position that enables safe spirit travel. Even drug-based visions need community supervision -- USUALLY.

The shaman of the Huaorani is an exception that I know of.

The West is based on using technology to control Nature -- this is wrong.

When WEsterners rely on drugs, without understanding the principles of Formless Awareness, then the drugs are no different than any other technology that is destroying Nature.

We are consciously impressing patterns on the subconscious in order to direct the serpent power. This creates changes in the blood chemistry. It is a safe and natural way. It is easy to do. Interesting replies.

I am quite familiar with the fact that certain shamanic societies don't use power plants.
But as Daniel pointed out in BOTH, Merica Eliade, wrote that the use of hullucinogens was a decline in the shamanic tradition.
Yet, I've come to realize and Daniel points out, that Before any of these traditions that only utilize Breath,Asana's,diet,Dancing,..ect..our ancestors were utilizing plant hullucinogens as means to contact the other.It is and really always will be in my head anyways, the most direct route to surfing the shamanic wave.

If you spend a bit of time researching the historical significance of the use of hullucinogens, it appears that a very high amount of religous thought came out of the use of Power Plants.
Europe,Africa,North and South America,Central America,Australia,Indies,,,,

There was never a war on consciousness back then, But what did happen is that priesthood realized the Transformative,Conditioning, and power that these plants held. So ritual was created around these experiences.

And like I wrote above, i've never met anyone who practises Yoga, who has described to me the visionary aspects that i can get too smoking plant Tryptamines. I am fully conscious that there are methods out there that i can do that will help me to use my own endegenous DMT to reach higher states.

There is the fact that we could be all hooped from our digestion of flouride, and even if you were to follow a diet and practise getting your brain to give you a taste of your own DMT, your Pineal Gland may be too far gone to allow this.

Unfortuantly I inherited bad knees from my dad, so i cannot get into a comfortable lotus. But If i begin to go deep, My body isn't nesessary. But being comfortable is. That is why i enjoy the Sensory Dep tank so much.
I have come across interesting methods to "decalcify" your Pineal Gland.

The bottom line for me, ANY and ALL spiritual practises that involve attempting to reach higher states, involves neurochemistry. And having a understanding of how and what happens in our brains when we Dance,practise Tantric sexuality, Meditation..ect IS demystifying a spiritual path that EVERYONE can follow.

WE must take the power back from the Priests and Guru's, and realize that our brains are our church, That seeking Plant Gnosis is OKAY to do.

AS far as the CIA and LSD goes, I really dont care that the CIA experimented with LSD.
The impact that LSD has had on western though is undeniable.
The impact that it has had on my life is undeniable.

There is a large body of neurochemical and anthropological evidence which suggests that the pineal gland may produce a neuro-modulator that enhances a psi-conducive state of consciousness. For full details of this research please see Roney-Dougal (1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993). Of most interest here are the neuromodulators called beta-carbolines which are MAO inhibitors that prevent, amongst other effects, the breakdown of serotonin. This results in an accumulation of physiologically active amines within the neuronal synapses which may lead to hallucinations, depression or mania depending on the amines being affected (Strassman, 1990). Beta-carbolines are also found in the retina of the eyes, in the adrenal glands and in the gut. The pineal contains the greatest concentration of serotonin in the brain, this being accentuated in those who suffer from psychoses. The pineal also contains enzymes that inhibit synthesis of these compounds, thus suggesting a regulating mechanism within this gland. There is a suggestion that it is the action of the pineal beta-carbolines, in particular 6-Methoxytetrahydro-betacarboline (6MeOTHBC, now being called pinoline), on serotonin that triggers dreaming (Callaway, 1988). Spontaneous case collection studies (e.g. Rhine, 1969) have found that most (more than 60%) spontaneous psi experiences occur during the sleeping and dreaming state of consciousness, which suggests that the dream state is a state of consciousness wherebey we are most likely to have psi expereinces, and pinoline is suggested to be the neurochemical that triggers this particular state of consiousness.

Anthropological data also suggest that these beta-carbolines are psi-conducive because their chemical structure is very similar to a naturally occurring group of chemicals called harmala alkaloids which occur in an Amazonian vine, Banisteriopsis caapi, used by Amazonian tribes for psychic purposes (Roney - Dougal, 1986 & 1989). The Amazon has a huge variety of psychotropic plants, yet all the tribes throughout that vast area use this same vine mixed with Psychotria viridis (Nai kawa) which contains dimethyltryptamine (DMT) (Ott, 1993 & 1994), for healing, out-of-body experiences, clairvoyance and precognition. It is traditionally used only when psi experiences are desired, though nowadays it is also used for general initiatory purposes. Thus the tribal people make a mixture of harmala alkaloids and DMT which mimics the tryptamine-pinoline mixture ascribed to the night time output of the pineal gland. My speculation is that when the pineal gland is stimulated to produce pinoline we are more likely to enter an altered state of consciousness which is psi-conducive.

In the 1960's a Chilean psychotherapist, Claudio Naranjo (1973, 1978) used a variety of hallucinogens including harmaline (one of the harmala alkaloids) in the psychotherapeutic setting, and came to the conclusion that: "Harmaline may be said to be more hallucinogenic than mescaline . . . both in terms of the number of images reported and their realistic quality. In fact some subjects felt that certain scenes which they saw had really happened and that they had been as disembodied witnesses of them in a different time and place. This matches the experience of South American shamans." (Naranjo, 1967). Ott (1993) considers that the harmala alkaloids are not actually hallucinogenic in their own right but that they permit the DMT in the ayahuasca mixture to be absorbed into the blood stream so that these create the entheogenic effects. This is still a matter of debate. There is extensive evidence from many anthropologists which suggests that the Banisteriopsis vine together with Psychotria Viridis is a psi-conducive drug, particularly with regard to remote viewing, clairvoyance and precognition but so far there has been no experimental test of these claims (Kensinger, 1973). Ayahuasca has recently been investigated by Don et al (1996) who suggest that its action is consistent with their other research into brain function and psi experience.

Thus, the anthropological evidence suggests that harmala alkaloids mixed with DMT stimulate a psi-conducive state of consciousness; the neurochemical evidence suggests that the harmala alkaloids are an analogue of pinoline which is produced in the pineal gland, noting that in the comparison between the action of the harmala alkaloids and pinoline it must be remembered that a one-position change in methoxy grouping can be profound in its action. The Yogic and occult teachings and common folk lore all say that the pineal gland is the psychic centre and I suggest that the pinoline made by the pineal gland at night time, through its action on serotonin, stimulates a dream type state of consciousness which is psi-conducive.

Hey drew. It's my second year learning kung fu and today i've had a weird experience. As i was approaching a classmate, I felt somekind of ray coming from the chest of that guy into mine, predicting he was going to attack. And yes, the guy tried to kick me (he does karate and he's always pissing me off)

I've told it to my master (he has been 7 years champion in france) and has told me about a combat he did virtually giving the back to his opponent -- he said he could feel from where the kicks were coming!

Yes -- this is EXACTLY what I mean by "formless awareness"

Master Jim Nance was a Kung Fu master, back in the 1960s in NYC. He's a big African-American. He could always win his fights because it was just like the Matrix! Everything went into slow motion and he saw his opponents moves before they happened.

So paradoxically there are "different levels" of formless awareness.

In fact this paradox is explained by the music model that I rely on. We exist WITHIN formless awareness and it radiates out in different levels of "amplitude" and "frequency" (western terms).

The waveform to resonate back into the formless awareness is the asymmetrical sinewave -- the Tai Chi symbol and the Tetrad, used by Kepler.

So different levels of formless awareness "contain" light waveforms -- so when the name of a living Master is called upon -- the nonlocal consciousnessness is triggered through the waveform of the name.

Actually how it works is through DESIRE. Music models desire through emotion.

The 5 chord or interval PULLS to the One and the 5 turns into the 4 and those three just rotate forever.
