hey im in the process of reading Pinchbeck's book and i love it. i decided to look up the book on the internet and to my joy i found this forum. ive read a few posts and have seen the term of visualizing the tai chi or something to that effect and was just wondering what that meant exactly. im also genuinely interested in shamanism and seeing as how i only recently started learning about was wondering if anyone had any of their thoughts to share. anything really

I'm new, too. This is my first post here. I just finished reading both Daniel's books, and was, to tell the truth, a litte freaked out by the prophecy parts. However, other than raise my own consciousness, I'm not clear as to what else is to be done other than to carry on in the face of them. The world will continue to revolve (or not) without my puny efforts!

What you're suggesting here is actually a huge effort and is anything but unimportant and ineffective. Raising your own consciousness is they key. Welcome to the forum!

What ya think about L. Johnson?
Are you willing to contribute to a fund which would set up a place in Mexico for Daniel?
Kinda like a place for him as well as yourself, to get out of the grind.

enjoyed "breaking open the head" and definitely feel that there is much validity to information being given.

as i was reading i could not but help to think of the astral travelers in the book "dune". as i recall, the material known simply as "spice" was required to time travel. sometimes science fiction has a way of predicting future developments.

i am happy to know that there are many manifestations of what we know as reality and look forward to experiencing some of them. i've only done lsd once and really am not too comfortable with psychoactive drugs. i hope that some of these perceptions are possible without drugs(maybe not). i garden and really enjoy my interactions with the plants. they keep me sane. they are beings with who i am rebuilding trust in the world. very healing.

Yes I too find alot of satisfaction from gardening.
I agree with you about your approach to psychedelics.
I have seen way to many people go over the edge and not make it back.

Being a direct decendant of Quanah Parker,I will say however that every experience with peyote has always been beneficial for me.

I will never knowingly do LSD again.

Depending on the soil temp I will plant a good acre of Beans, peas, peppers, okra, melons, corn, tomatoes tomorrow.
Turnips, radishes, mustard, lettuce, carrots, garlic,le ek are already being eaten here.

Visitors and help always welcome.

wow carrots et all in april?

must be warmer in your part of the world.

i am waiting for it to be warm enough to enjoy my coffee outside in the morning.

all the plants are just waiting for the warm weather to bust out and do their thing.

thanks for the feedback

peyote sounds like a gentler trip. lsd was not too wierd. just stayed up for a couple of days.

trying to read t mckenna. very odd ideas and somewhat hard to fathom. seems like the evolution of humans is evolving from a serotonin based brain synapses to other chemical. perhaps that is why so many people are on ssri's.
very strange to think that perception is rna based.

The carrots were planted last fall.Along with mustard, lettuce, radishes, all of which are flowering now-filled with thousands of bees.

This morning I was thinking of your carrots and it dawned on me that they are a cool weather crop. Duh. I don't immediately know too much about veggie gardening but eventually plan on doing so. Right now doing the pure ornamental thing. No time to cook! Just playing with the flowers right now.

Best Spring Wishes for you and your garden

Welcome, I too just joined having completed daniels book 2012, last night. I have been in the shamanic game for over 20 years (had my first mushroom experience at 18). I'm Australian and they grow from Sept to June so it's very accessible.

I was fortunate enough to walk a beautiful path of heartfelt intent that allowed me to access subtler dimensions of perception with ease. I think it's because of growing up in a home with five sisters that I'm naturally very sensitive to subtler energies. I would suggest that if you are going to ingest psychedelics do it with the right intent, focussed will and a good goal in mind.

I also suggest starting out by reading some books by Stanislav Grof and Timothy Leary the two gentlemen to break the most ground in the early stages. Grof has an awesome map of the psyche called the 'transpersonal cartography' built over many years of clinical research with people doing psychedelics and also the technique known as rebirthing (concentrated circular/uninterrepted breathing) he brought back from Tibet. Terrence Mckenna has some good tales too. If you ever get a chance to hear a recordng he did with the band The Shamen, he has an awesome rave about history and it's imminent transformation circa 2012.

Visualising Chi takes a good understanding of the Meridian system ie study some accupuncture/accupressure drawings etc. Also recommend studying Charkras and Prana etc ie the Tibetan mystical systems.

If you have a good knowledge of and feeling for these systems when yo have your first psychedelic experience you should be able to access new levels of your own spyche without inflicting too much damage!!

I have been 'to the End' I know how the world truly works, I have stepped outside of time and langauge and seen the wiring under the board.... I can lead you to your own personal eschaton if you are truly interested!

all the best

yes one needs a guide when going into uncharted territories. sometimes being lost can be an educational guide but i think more can be learned if one has an interpretor with them to help assign meaning or form.

i think our society is definitely losing true meaning and form as it adheres more and more to the cult of consumerism. i see the consumption of material goods as a way of achieving a momentary sense of calm and relief but since the essential yearning is not addressed;the original feeling of lack comes back at an even more intense level. i think madison avenue and all the merchandisers know this about humanpsyche and exploit it to their personal gain. call me paranoid but it seems these are the values we are adapting in our attempt to dumb down and to not question the status quo. just buy something to still the uneasiness that dwells within you. god forbid you actually think and maybe define happiness in terms of what really makes you happy and what actually validates your real self.

I came across this forum a while back but this is my first post. i heard of daniel through an article and googled him and came across this forum. I had a spiritual awakening 2 years ago through using mushrooms and meeting a my now best friend. I am trying to raise my consciousness and have a great interest in shamanism etc.

I got reffered to the pinchbeck article on a britsh psychedelic forum and unfortuanatley i have not had a chance to read any of daniels books as i dont have much money at the mo. However i will have a read as soon as I can.

I would like to thank the members of this forum for their openess and warmth. the other forum i was using was a bit elitest and members were ofter berated for thier views. It also has a wealth on information for those that do not have an idea of where to start reading and learning. Its hard to find information on the net if initially you struggle to putyour experiences into words. You cant google feelings, but for someone who doesnt know anyone with similar interests its a blessing. I feel very young spiritually and any guidance is a blessing

thanks
