I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with Reshad Feild's "The Last Barrier?" It's kind of a classic of East meets West, in this case a brit getting involved with the Dervish Sufi tradition. I ask because I'm currently in the process of turning it into a screenplay. Anyone heard of it?

No.
When is it from? Any mention of Gurdjieff?

The book was originally published in '76, the events take place starting in '68. It is actually very involved with the Gurdjieff scene as the man who introduced the author to the path and led him to Turkey was named Bulent and from the Gurdjieff crowd. One of the characters is Gurdjieff's niece, Luba, who owned a resturaunt in London at the time.
