Who can deny the importance of numbers and mathematics in our culture? Even those among us who are not generally adept with advanced mathematic ability, can quickly understand the relevance of numbers in our daily lives. Usually this is involved with the world of money. Whether it be in waiting for our paycheck, balancing the bills, or purchasing items needed for living; simple methods of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication should be mandatory for people of average mental resources in the modern world. The word 'mathematics' is derived from the Greek máthēma, representing science.
