I am reading 2012, wow. So far what I have read resonates with another recent book "cosmos and psyche" by Richard Tarnas. I think it would be of interest to many on this board. It is a dense read, but excelllent.

Looks good! Astrology is not something I've studied in any depth, but my girl is always going on about houses and eliptics and conjunctions and stuff.

"Tarnas managed to formulate not only a tenable, but a rigorously convincing theory of how the subject-object dichotomy and the disenchantment of the cosmos (which he renders intelligible as the necessary price that we have paid for the individuation of the modern human subject) can be overcome."
