I tuned into "Coast to Coast" last night. I was intrigued, but not enthused.

The trashing of capitalisim was most interesting.

With that in mind, I'd very much like to read your book to learn more. I wouldn't actually offend your sensibilities by actually buying it on Amazon or B&N like you've so boldly set up on your website.

Instead, I'd like to suggest a "love offering" in trade, once I've had a chance to absorb the books aura; OK?

Maybe a few pounds of bean curd in exchange for the wisdom contained therein?

I'm certain that the curd would be an excellent karmic balance for the intellectual stimulation provided; or at very least; the final product of the processing of that bean curd through the human digestive system ~

I wouldn't want to offend you by actually offering money. No.

Peace ~

I wouldn't go so far as to say that mr. pinchbeck was anti capitalist or even (gods forbid) communist. I simply came away with the notion that capitalism is the only way to do transactions in a complex society, and that it can become trite or dangerous in the exploitation of the inherent greed we were all born with. The host of the show seemed to bristle a bit at the idea that the guest might be critical of the system, especially afterb the advert for anti-radiation pills : )

The Yanimamo are also a greedy and angry people who can't live in a society of more than a few hundred with out splitting up into warring factions. The Russians and the Cambodians certainly killed their share of their own people trying to militate against our essentailly aquisitve nature.

I think it is possible, through our high tech capitalist world, to attain Nibbana. We can do this by wisely using the tools that our society has given us.

The usual way of capitalism is to take from others to make ones own stock grow. This is one of the first steps on the long dark road of evil.
One is not a capitalist because a corporation like Amazon sells their book or is linked to their website, if anything, selling a book that can break open the minds of sheep and begin them on their journey to the lives of Eagles, on such a site is a perfect use of guerrilla warfare.
When one has a message that needs to be delivered, it needs to be delivered, and if you can get the "enemy" to deliver it to the intended audience themselves, then I say Congratulations.
"one can do more damage from within than from without."
