Yes,run.
Run to the peoples of
Quanum Parker.
The reasonable answer is the Society is quite interesting, but limited in scope. In a dull town it can be a good way to meet like-minded folks.

.. run eh?.. not big fans?... who are the people of quanum parker
...alot of people dismiss societys like this instantly as 'cult' or something of the likes... but imo it is hardly anything of the sort... at least not in the public ring...
... im sure it has some much deeper and darker occult ties.. as history has shown for many esoteric organizations....but it also has some very benificial ones.. and some fairly influential members.. from ghandi.. to einstein.. to TS eliot... and some fascinating concepts and literature that modern man should pay a bit more attention to perhaps...theosophy was a big step forward in the collective consciousness of mankind...helping people out of there blissful ignorance and getting them to ponder the mysteries of existence and of religion/spirituality... its imprint is everywhere we turn these days...and in my humble opinion.. its not such a bad one...god is a mountain.. there are many paths to the top.. and it is a direct experience with each soul.... all is relative to perception and understanding... theos and sophia help us awaken to that truth :D
The reasonable answer is the Society is quite interesting, but limited in scope. In a dull town it can be a good way to meet like-minded folks
.. i agree whole heartidly.. but i am a sucker for nostalgia.. hahaha... and i am looking forward to attending some seminars and maybe even a camp... as the modern members really resonate with me...and the bulk of the work and history imo is very rich and inspiriing...even if at times it is a tad limited in scope... as all things are inevitably
there are some really perspective altering concepts put forward in theosophical work and extensions there-of... and they are a timeless piece of history imo

I think your paranoia about the US attacking Canada is out of line.
We are Brothers and Sisters in the era to come.
The US and Canada will always be partners.

Thanks G.I can sense the respect.
Eve is spilling her guts out right now,so i'm thinking in two directions.
What I need is several wives, like Q. Parker had.
They can argue with each other.
Maybe it wasn't you that expressed the silly paranoia.
America can't do anything without partners like Mexico and Canada.
Besides that,Canada has atomic weapons too or at least the intelligence to put them together quickly if needed.

Thanks G.I can sense the respect ... the pleasure is all mine... best of luck with your many wives tongue.gif ;)
America can't do anything without partners like Mexico and Canada ... ahh.. but you fail to see the real entities controlling the workings of said nations... the globalist elite families.. the rockefellars.. the rothschilds.. the duponts.. merovingians... astors.. onassis'.. etc....the illuminati

Really though G.It is all about Karma.
All those carpetbaggers you mentioned will reap what they have sown.
That is what it is all about.Reaping what you sow.

hi Gnosisolarium~
I went to quite a few meetings
at the Toronto branch about
9 or 10 years ago.... they have a good library too...
i really enjoy reading some of the Theosophical writings....
Blavatsky, and Annie Besant
and others have some great books to
get your brain moving away from the crap
we're surrounded and drowning in these days...
I think the whole history of it all is pretty cool, considering
that they helped to introduce both Krishnamurti and
Rudolf Steiner to the world- 2 of the 20th C's
most important people (in my not so humble opinion)
I'm in Basel Switzerland right now, and am looking
forward to visiting Rudolf Steiner's Goetheanum,
and just being in the area is a beautiful experience!
Check out HP Blavatsky's book
'The Voice Of The Silence' ( I have always loved
that title) and also a good introduction is
'the Key To Theosophy'...
good luck with it all....

Hi Gnosis,
I saw your inquiry about the Theosophists. I too contemplated taking in one of their meetings while in NYC. The Village Voice constantly runs an ad for their "Free" workshop-seminars, with a glaring photograph of Madame Blavatsky, one of the principle founders.
I did some more research into the origins of their society and it seems they are an offshoot of the mediumistic mania that grew in the latter part of the 19th and early 20th century.
A little too much necromancy for my taste, and without careful guidance one could possibly be beguiled by spirits in limbo looking for attention or ways to affect the material realm in manipulative ways.
An interesting association came from Rudolph Steiner who collaborated with the Theosophists early on before realising the limitations, and therefore seeking a philosophical view that was more comprehensive and far reaching. This gave impetus to his Anthroposophical endeavors and philosophies. Far more wholesome and positive in their applications I feel.
I am still curious to attend a Theosophical gathering just to see how their principles have evolved in the 21st Century. However, I suspect the changes are probably not that spectacular.

without careful guidance one could possibly be beguiled by spirits in limbo looking for attention or ways to affect the material realm in manipulative ways ... i totally agree.. and am aware of all the medium/channeling history... not really looking to infiltrate the uber clandestine rituals.... just looking to connect with some other seekers in the area... as the modern members really resonate with me... it is very outdated however your right... but i am a sucker for nostalgia... and i look forward to delving into it...afterwords i will likely move on and explore steiners system... thanks for the thoughts smile.gif

I have been a member of the TS in London for over 4 years now and my relationship has changed over this period from curiosity to distaste. I cannot ignore that ariosophy came out of theosopy and the German National Socialist party had its roots in ariosophy. Read Peter Levenda Unholy Alliance and Nicholas Goodricke Clarke books.
The organization in full of cranks and they always fascinate me but more recently they have really started to repulse me. They certainly are not open minded, to the extent that I think many of the members are Islamophobic and twisted.
I pointed out the Nazi connection and in the same month they removed the swastika from the logo and changed it to a cross. This months newsletter prints an email I sent Goodricke Clarke and he replied unconvincingly to me. I think G.C. has a strange fascination with the nazis and is not impartial.
