.......

When the earth was still soft, when mica, feldspar and silica still mingled in a liquid state and the earth was under the influence of the whole of cosmic space, then it was a gigantic plant. So if you go up into the mountains today and there find granite or gneiss ... these are the remains of those ancient plant formations.

Rudolf Steiner - 17 February 1923

.......

I am looking at a beautiful book of Rudolf Steiner's
blackboard drawings, which he drew to accompany his lectures,
and the reproductions in the book have quotes, like the one above, from the accompanying talks......

this one struck me particularly,
reminding me of some Salvia visions..!

to move one step beyond cryptic sniping...

...the Earth isn't STILL a plant?

LOL... well, much more than a plant anyway... a Synergistic Symbiotic entitiy...at the very least...

...you'll pardon me, i've been fasting for Ramadan, and it's been a veeeeeery interesting experience.

i have some very speicific issues with steiner, and his philosophies... much too manichean, and theosophical for my taste... if i ever deem it worth my time i'll post them as a topic for civil discussion.

have a great october people!!

all hail the Great Pumpkin!!

Salaam Agent Smith~

I've been doing the Ramadan fast too!!
It cuts into my afternoon City Bakery hanging
out time...but it's good because I have to find
alternative ways to spend my time....I like that...
something other than sitting around drinking a coffee in the middle of the afternoon....

and boy do I appreciate sunset....
the true meaning of break fast!

I've been reading this great book by Lex Hixon called
Heart of the Koran...to help keep the meaning in mind....
