anyone and everyone intrested in reading tarot ought to experience the Herbal Tarot Deck by Michael Tierra and Candis Cantin.

Yes, this deck received a good review (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/herbal/review.shtml) over at the good old Aeclectic forums. It is very similar to Rider-Waite which is a good one, but personally when I first worked with the Thoth deck I knew there could be no other for me, not only because it is beautiful, but because it is incredibly rich in symbolism and integrates other practices such as Astrology extremely well.

right on! the aliester crowley thoth deck is the quinticential deck, its the one iv been useing for the the past few years and has treated me good. its because of the thoth deck that i am a magician; i did my very first tarot when i was 13 and an avid non-believer, that first time was also my first real magickal experience.

id also suggest the kundalini deck for anyone who is good at trance-meditation
