Seeking Submissions for MAPS Bulletin on Technology and Psychedelics

I'm going to be the guest editor at MAPS--the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies--for the next few months.

I'll be editing a special edition of the MAPS Bulletin for the Spring about technology and psychedelics. The interplay between technological innovation and psychedelic mind states has substantially influenced many aspects of electronic media and biotechnology--including the development of new film techniques and cinematic special effects, personal computers, the internet, genetic engineering, and artificial intelligence. For example, the biotechnology revolution was largely started by two Nobel Prize biochemists who both reportedly attributed part of their insights to their use of LSD.

I'm currently seeking contributions for this Bulletin. I'm looking for submissions that are between 500 and 2000 words. The deadline is February 20th. If you are interested in contributing, please send your submissions to: dajabr@well.com

I don't know what I could contribute but I'd like to try.
After a spell with some orange sunshine with two doctors from Austin,Texas where we all were 4th year med students(Galveston) I went on a trip that maybe you can help me complete.200 ect's,200 hrs deep shock insulin coma,Indaclon and a host of other bits of shit.
It's an interesting story.Would you like to hear it?
After regaining my senses(LOL) by spending some time on the Washington and Oregon coasts and a year with an Indian Medicine man on the San Juan Reservation in Northern New Mexico I went on to finish med school in the Caribbean and in Mexico.
I am now a semi-retired physician who preaches and teaches Chelation and who is truly trying to be born again for,
"..unless a man be born again,he shall in no way find the Kingdom of heaven.."

Well D.J.I don't see why you can't interview me right here where whatever.
What did I learn from my two year trip in the Graves Mental Ward-that was actually the name of the mental hosp I was in.The Graves.Don't cause much trouble for those in charge.
What did I learn from my two acid trips?Still learning.
Actually I was born again when I either took acid,smoked pot,or sucked my wife's silicon filled breasts.

Mpski Actually Dave I'm trying to draw attention to my name which also happens to be my favorite Book in the Bible.Isaiah.
Revelation means alot to me as it was written by me,for me.To wake me up so to speak,or introduce us to heaven.Just like the Jews of the Dead Sea and Masada-they all believed they would wake up together,in a land over the great sea,and they would we be awoken by the HYMNS we hear and they did hear before.

DJ:you also mention your relationship to Quanah Parker,who if I remember right rode a white horse and had several wives.

MP: Hehe.Yes he did get around.In fact when Buffalo Bill Cody took him to Europe in a wild west show they had to send him home early because he was knocking up alot of the Royalty.Yes,yes,I imagine there are alot of us Quanah Parker offspring.I've got alot of good stories about Quanah and how he came to think about things.

I am horrified by the murder of Bhutto. I fear she will prove a sacrifice to dark gods of destruction. Here in Denison, the 12 oclock news on channel 12 mentioned her death in passing--trivialized it--inferred that she was a political enemy of our buddy Musshie, and maybe even a thorn in america's side. Then on to the latest crack house bust.

My opinion--this death will loose a Pandora's box of little horrors.

The problem Br Sidecross is how can I capitalize on it.They already touched on the horror of insanity and it's treatment in Cucco's Nest and A Beautiful Mind.
You know though,nobody has really focused(except the Church of Scientology and Jung)on the power of the super-ego and mass consciousness.
I guess though that is the function of politics.


However I have chosen a place to start a mass movement for those of you who will join me.The land here is being returned to the citizenitry from the Feds and we need to take advantage of it and be relatively good examples.

John is now in his 7th decade.A current picture of the Lord can be seen on another thread of this Website.His birthday is one week from tomorrow.
He spent almost 10 years with Q.Parker and is now a heavily medicated,over weight-220-prettier in person who is preferintial(sic) toward Asian women because he believes he can re-create Dr Parker and Jesus,but will settle for less.
He led a life that can be described as James Bondish and is only going to get better.Someone needs to write a book for him or at least meet him -say-in some airport-haha-and spend some time on the farm with both photography and writing-perhaps fishing or painting but defenitely planning.
When asked,other than Q. Parker were there other interesting people he had met-Landis Wilson.The man who built the rairoad to the Panama Canal.Good story there
