The puppet media machine loves death counts, global warming, ditsy celebrities, and tales of human suffering. Loves it.

In the case of this dude who killed Jon Benet, I choose to feel waves of love and compassion for all involved. I'm not going to own it, or mull it over beyond the words here. I just send John Karr, Jon Benet's family, the media, and the distracted masses love and light.

We will all remove our masks soon enough.

The lowest common denominator stuff always sells - it's the collective scab to pick.

The media do it because they have absolutely no imagination whatsoever. They don't just refuse to see all the possibilities, they are incapable of appreciating them.

Most news programmes are so dull, populated by manicured robots and are endlessly repetitious. When Sky broke the news about the 21 plotters alleged to be involved in the transatlantic 'terrorist plot' smokescreen, they had had a revolving list of Islamic sounding names constantly flowing along the bottom of the screen - the message: these people are different to you!

The News should properly be titled the 'Bad News' because according to them things only ever go wrong.

I say the media does it because they are a part of an elaborate agenda--one that most certainly involves the lowest common denominator.
I have no TV reception for a reason. TV sucks. Most films suck. Most books suck. Do you know about the wildly successful fire-n-bristone "Left Behind" series?
A wise man once said, "And the sheeple can only bleat."
Time's running out to pretend to be sheeple.
We are such fabulous creatures.

"The media do it because they have absolutely no imagination whatsoever. They don't just refuse to see all the possibilities"

So true. so 1-dimensional, man I bet you could make a bunch of money by reporting miracleous events, from all over the world. I think people are ready and hungry. If I owned a station, I'd bump it up!

Dear Ms. Manifest,

To paraphrase a famous English sociologist from the 18th century: We think in herds, we go to hell in herds, but we go to heaven slowly, and one by one.

Best regards,
-C

I tend not to traffic too much in conspiracy theories--but with the beating Hezbollah gave Israel, with Iran and Syria thumbing their noses & running Holocaust cartoons, with the midget in pajamas over in N. Korea about to shoot off another missle, and with Islamic mothers willing to blow up their babies to murder airline passengers--we'll, if I were the wizard behind the curtain, I might want to put a little bread and circus in front of the plebians to give them something to chew on while I figure out what those of us in the inner circle will do next.

Very odd that this bozo would surface now. & why the plebians eat this sh-t, I have no idea.

Dressing your 6 year old up like a whore and parading her around. These people should be put in a psych ward, if the doctors there weren't generally as crazy as the patients.

There is no generality about it.The only difference is the doctors have the power.
And yes I do believe you should lead your life as morally and soberly as possible and let God worry about your children.

I don't know if this dude actually did it--I'm not going to do any research on him or this case. I saw this story for what it is: another daily dose of suffering, fear, distraction, and lies brought to you by the media machine. I just wanted to flip the switch for myself and others here, so that we might feel and think differently than we are being directed to.

Love and light to all my brothers and sisters, whatever roles they play.

Karma in...Karma out....The media are fear merchants because fear sells. we have been conditioned to feed on it. It keeps us distracted while be are being raped by the corporate structure. For those of you who think all books suck I suggest you read "A Dweller On Two Planets" by Phylos.

The Case of Little Girl X

On Christmas Day, 1996, a 6 year-old Hispanic girl, name doesn’t matter, is in bed recovering from bronchitis. The little girl has asthma so her bronchitis is almost chronic. Little did her parents’ or HMO doctor know that the reason for the child’s lung ailments was the asbestos lining the apartment building where she lived.

To celebrate the Yuletide and bless God for the birth of his Son, the family was on there way to 9 o’clock Mass. The little girl was left in the care of her grandmother who, following her custom, went to worship at 6 a.m. She too had lung disease and walking up and down three flights of stairs and walking two city blocks each way made her wheeze.

When the family took there leave accompanied by their two sons, they said goodbye to their little girl and her other two grandchildren kissed their grandmother goodbye which was customary.

After the family went off to Mass, both the grandmother and the little girl dozed off to sleep. Her grandmother sat in “her chair” in the living room, the little girl in her youth bed. She felt grown-up, since her father had just removed the side rails. After this event she walked about proudly telling anyone within earshot “I am a big girl. I sleep in a real, just like grown-ups.”

During there doze a man wearing black jeans and hooded sweat shirt pulled down the ladder there for the purpose of exiting the building in case of a fire. The man began walking up the black painted metal ladder peering in each window as he advanced from floor to floor.

When he walked to the last floor, the top floor, the third floor, he discovered the little girl asleep in her grown-up bed. The window next to the fire-escape opened with ease. The man walked quietly as not to awaken or startle the little girl. He withdrew a small bottle and what looked to be a handkerchief from his pocket. He dabbed the white cotton fabric with formaldehyde and placed it on the little girl’s mouth and nose. The little girl woke up with a start but the formaldehyde took fast effect.

The hooded man took the little girl from her bed in his arms. Without anyone noticing, he carried her to the street. He took her to one of those New York City parks that are a square city block with playgrounds, a baseball field, basketball and handball court. Since it was Christmas the park was desolate.

He set the girl on the cold tar ground. He ripped her pajamas off exposing her small 60 pound body. He slapped her face three or four times. Her rapist-murder wanted her conscious for the experience that awaited her. She came to slightly but she lapsed in and out of consciousness.

The man took out his erect penis and jabbed it in the girl’s mouth. When he was done he went lower. When he was done there, he turned the little girl around. When he was finished with his sexual crimes, he withdrew a six inch hunting knife from his boot. He opened the knife that had a serrated tip, holding the little Hispanic girl by her ebony hair the man slit her throat from ear to ear. When he was done he picked up the little girl and threw her little naked body in a bunch of nude dry hedges.

When the little girl’s parents returned from Mass they were, like any other family would be in like circumstance, frantic. They called the police. First, police from the local precinct arrived, later detectives from homicide and finally the Special Victims Unit was assigned the case. The police thought the little girl’s disappearance was child abduction for the purpose of child pornography, child prostitution, child abuse, child abuse and homicide.

About 36 hours later there was a knock at door, it was answered by a boy about 10. The boy ran for his mother and father, telling them in a loud voice “it’s the police”.

The parents invited the two detectives inside. The detectives told the parents they might want to sit down. But the little girl’s mother’s lamentations were uncontrollable, her husband tried to console her, it did little good. Finally, the detectives had to deliver the news.

In 1996 and ’97 there were 4,514 juvenile homicides in the country. Juvenile homicide is one of the five leading causes of juvenile mortality, according to the Crimes Against Children Research Center.

These are just the raw statistics; I don’t know how many of these juveniles were murdered accidentally, by a parent, other relative, someone the child knew, in a drive by shooting or during the commission of a crime. Surely the 1 to 5-year olds and many of the 5 to 14 year-olds were not murdered while committing a crime.

Of these 4,514 juvenile homicides how many cases were solved and the murderers convicted? How many are still at-large? What is the racial breakdown of these children? What is the conviction rate of the murders of white children compared to African American and Hispanic children?

Mostly importantly, did any of these 4514 cases receive the international and national publicity given to JonBenet Ramsey’s disappearance and murder? Is this because she is white, her parents are upper middle class, or because the 6 year-old beauty contest participant has been sexualized by her parents and after her death and disappearance the media? The answer is a bit of all three.

Personally, I think it’s more the latter. What interested the media were the pictures of this child in her beauty pageant customs, makeup, hair styled where she appeared to be the child-grow up. This type of heinous crime is appealing to seekers of drama (reality television) particularly when it involves a child victim, but it so appeals to those latent or overt pedophilic urges in some of us.

But what about the other 4513 juvenile murder victims they certainly didn’t generated the newspaper column inches, the radio an television time that has be received by the JonBenet Ramsay case.

If these kids were lucky some of them received one television story on there city’s local affiliate station and maybe one small newspaper story relegated to, near or on, the obituary page.

The police probably conducted a cursory investigation and for some of these parents they still don’t know whether their child is dead or alive.

A major media outlet could do a major feature on what happened to these 4513 kids they certainly have the resources. But the won’t for even though: “If it Bleeds it Leads” they wouldn't commit much staff time to it, especially if most of the children are poor African-African or Hispanic kids.

***Look outside your window there’s a youngster being grab her abductor takes her to some bushes where she’s being raped and stabbed. Maybe I should call the cops and try and to stop her pain, but I’m busy watching TV and I think it’s gonna rain. I’m sure it wouldn’t interest anybody outside of her parents and small circle of little friends.***

I go out of my way to save bugs. I'm a total sap, so I'm not condoning murdering and doing bad things. That said...

The positionality of that last article makes it just more bread and circus in my opinion, albeit better disguised.
It is one of a chaotic universe, where we are victims and villians; not co-creative beings existing within a reality of collective agreements. So I think it's poop.

It is impossible to glance through any newspaper, no matter what the day, the month or the year, without finding on every line the most frightful traces of human perversity, together with the most astonishing boasts of probity, charity, and benevolence and the most brazen statements regarding the progress of civilization.

Every journal, from the first line to the last, is nothing but a tissue of horrors. Wars, crimes, thefts, lecheries, tortures, the evil deeds of princes, of nations, of private individuals; an orgy of universal atrocity.

And it is with this loathsome appetizer that civilized man daily washes down his morning repast. Everything in this world oozes crime: the newpaper, the street wall, and the human countenance.

I am unable to comprehend how a man of honor could take a newspaper in his hands without a shudder of disgust.

ya know crazyman I have to agree with you.
I hate the newscasters too.
That horrible tone of voice that fixes their rigid point of view.
Time to move on and address the living issues which are enough, ehhh.
