Is it possible to plot the width of the galaxy using the Cartesian method and "real numbers" in a SuperComputer, or maybe a few SuperComputers, given the location of 2 known points in the galaxy on opposing axis' of Earth and also find the "Galactic Positioning" (my term coined here) of Earth in the Milky Way?

I then pose this rhetorical query, What team of scientists will be the one to plot this numerical dilemma, and when will it be made public? Perhaps a threat to the Social order.
As to the question in your second post, the known universe may only be expanding within a sphere, a self contained sphere based on the shape of millions of stars and planets, comets and on and on we should be able to deduce in our minds. Also the micro scale of protons, neutrons, electrons, quarks, and any others shows this.

i can't prove it, in the same manner as we can't prove that our expanding universe isn't being sucked in from the outside, like a doughnut...
but it is clear that mass is building up inside earth, and our waterlevels are rising. new mountains are forming as we speak, right?

You know Nanouk I've been thinking about the same thing on these lines.The sun gets it's energy from the fusion of two hydrogen atoms into helium and energy.When you fuse two or more helium atoms you get carbon and heat.Do you think that in actually the earth is hollow and an endchain reaction is forming more "earth" from the inside and spitting it out to form the crust.
I don't think anyone actually knows what is at the center.They may have hypothesis and ideas but no one knows with certainity.
I also think we are destined to build our next civilization in the earth.
You know a pagan is someone who sleeps outside on their couch or bed of leaves.
