Here is a link summarizing the findings of research that was done over the last year. A long article (a few dozen pages) is being written. A collaborative article, by a writer on the erowid staff (but based loosely on this research), will appear in a forthcoming issue of the Erowid Newsletter.

This summary and bibliography should definitively resolve any dispute regarding whether or not these plants were used in Tantric Buddhism

I want to ask if anyone can point me towards some resources that discuss the tantric use of datura (and/or cannabis) which are not mentioned in my bibliography. These need not be specific to Vajrayana.
