I found all the crop circle stuff in 2012TROQ very interesting, and that caused me to rewatch (a couple of times, actually) the Gazecki film Crop Circles - Quest for Truth, which I found, as before, really interesting. So I've been kind of excited to see what comes next and then I realized that they happen in the summer. So I started checking Crop Circle Connector and it looks like the first major circle of the year has just appeared:
http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2006/northfarm/northfarm2006a.html
interesting collection of different spiral and circular patterns arranged in a circle - very complex design
I wonder if crop circle connector is the site to watch or are there some other good ones for keeping up with new circles or just for having (free) pictures of lots of them?
and where are people talking about what these designs mean?
Gazecki's documentary is really cool. He talks to a lot of the people in Daniel's book. And there are tons of awesome pictures of the circles. I think it was made in 2002, so nothing newer than that is in the film, but some pretty amazing stuff. I still haven't really looked thoroughly at pictures of the circles in the more recent years. More info on the film/DVD at Amazon:

And for you, today, a special bonus, a quote transcribed from the film:

Michael Glickman's comments at the end of the film
Crop Circles - Quest for Truth
(2002 William Gazecki)
I think that the crop circles maybe are occuring
now because there are huge... universal... time cogs about to klonk over. And this has been in the stars for a long time. And we've been blissfully, stupidly unaware of what we were sitting on. But they know.
And I think the crop circles have been brought now because they have been saying, "These guys are gonna miss the boat! This is one of the most
exciting things and they don't know what's going on. How can we bring them forward? How can we open their minds? How can we open their hearts?"
And I put my money on the fact that we'll have contact when we are sufficiently grown up and evolved to be able to accept it and we have a very accelerated program of learning to be able to accept it and to be integrated into a wider and a heavenly scheme of things. I think we're rather near to it. I speak as an optimist.

Right on brother!
Honestly are we deaf, dumb, blind and stupid?

Very slow year for the crop circles so far. But all of a sudden several pretty spectacular ones have appeared. This page from crop circle connector tracks the recent ones:

Amazing stuff.
Last year at Averbury (21st June at 11.00pm) we were sitting on the southern embankment of the monument and actually saw coloured lights in the field above a formation. No acid or stimulants involved.
I'm open to the fact that crop formations may be human in origin but anyone with the slightest sensitivity can feel 'something' different about that part of the world. Whatever it is is inspired the builders of the henges and barrows and continues to inspire.
Personally i think that space between worlds is 'thinner' here and this is what drives a special kind of creativity

Yesterday I saw a pic of a new Crop Circle, and this one was very unusual, since it was three dimensional. One of my speculations about Crop Circles, is that extraterrestial teenagers are tagging us with graffiti. Kids of a highly advanced civilization would do something like that.

Personally i think that space between worlds is 'thinner' here and this is what drives a special kind of creativity If you read my post "Crop Circles as Sacred Art" it references crop circle artists who talk in those terms -- they don't regard their art as "fake" or a "hoax" but as sacred manifestations and the creation of temporary sacred sites in a sacred area (okay, not every single one does, at least not consciously, but that's not the point) and there are reports of being accompanied by the floating lights and other manifestations during their creation.
Stonehenge and other stone circles are full of that energy (I am sure). Something being manifested through human hands does not diminish its magical power, as true artists know.
I think Sacha has it right, to a point. In my opinion there are ancient intelligences (after all, what being has integrated everything) which manifest in different forms in different places. Daniel suggested in one of his books that corporate logos may be the sigils that invoke or represent abstracted influences, or be the form that that intelligence takes on our plane of being.
It could be that, via the channeling hands of the circle makers, other intelligences are clamouring to us in this crucial moment, attracted by the distress flare that accompanies awakening of species, and that their sigils are represented in the wheat fields. They would therefore be checking in, tagging the planet as JCL suggests, registering their vote for hope...

This is the most new age thing I've ever written - and the angel topples the tower.

That said, wiltshire and salisbury plane is practically one huge military base...you have to be careful where you wander at night down there, and for how long.

Thank you, Thom ;)
If you were visiting Earth from out there, the first two things you would check out are military facilities, and ancient sacred sites. UFO sightings cluster around those two catagories.
The Political/Economic/Religious institutions on this planet are generally based upon the Master/Slave paradyme, (something that I want us to grow out of very quickly). It is a fear & aggression syndrome, which results in people always seeking power over other people. Naturally, those at the top of those systems will be very fearful of anything coming from outside, that might upset the balance... hence the secrecy & dis-information.
Our Mythology & Scriptures going back to the most ancient times, are full of descriptions of events that clearly match what we now refer to as UFOs. The Cloud of Light is often mentioned in the various versions of the Christian Bible. The Vedic Scriptures describe beings clearly far in advance of us technologically, using what we would now describe as energy beam weapons, and nuclear devices. And then there are the reports of communication with people from the stars, that we find in the Traditions of the Native People of North & South America... some of which actually are current.
Sacha is on the mark.
I'm just off to Wiltshire now! For the third time this year.
I think that it is of paramount importance not to put so much attention on who makes the circles.I have met a lot of people that make the circles with stomping boards and measuring tape. They are a mixed bunch. Some will tell you of the unparrelled kick they get out of fooling the masses (which they think is all part of the art) others will tell you about strange etheric guidence they get to motivate their work.
None of them, however, will tell you why they felt inspired to chose such intricate, archetypically sacred, spiritually motivating shapes and forms that speak so profoundly to humanity's collective consciousness. Jung would have a field day. (No pun intended)
'Why?' I ask them. Never a satisfactory reply.
'Where EXACTLY does that inspiration come from?'
That is what I'm interested in.
But not more than the designs and their meanings.
