I'm not going to post the story here--it is all over the news.
"We" have released a licensed photojournalist working for Al Jazera, from Gitmo. He was imprisoned six years, and force-fed thru his nostrils twice a day for the last two.
His crime? Alledgedly, taking pictures of bin Laden.
i suppose Craazy will have some extenuating explanation for this, like, "In some other country, they would have just taken him out for a heliocopter ride, and shoved him into the ocean! We turned him over to Sudan! Aren't we the benevloent and freedom loving crew!"
Well, give "us" a big pat on the back for that one.
another leaf in the annals of shame.

Go to heck, willow.
you continually torture my point of view into something that becomes its opposite. Don't you have anything better to do?

well, craazy, you are well-known for posting extenuating circumstances excusing us, that would make no impression on the devil and dan'l webster's hanging jury of the damned.
i thought my quip was merely a light barb, sort of what a picador might deliver to an angry bull's hump.
i just wanted a little action. EXCUUUUSE ME!!
and if the arrow's barb didn't make a point, why not ignore it? Just like i told Obama.

Sue Bee.I don't think CM's response was directed at you.According to the times of the post his was two minutes after yours.
He was probably composing his as you posted yours.
And I think he was just teasin Willow anyway.
And in regard to the weather here,I suppose it all depends what kind of excitment one likes.
It is kind of amazing to see softball size hail and an 8 ft 2 by 4 stuck 4 ft in the ground.
I talked to another fella who had his goat tied to a tree with a chain.Lightening struck the tree.
Willow is fried goat any good?

no, I was teasing willow. really, willow, ethics is my soft spot, so gore away and laugh at my pain.;)
I think it was your post I refer to: that was a good critique of Job on the other thread.
How virtuous we think we are and how easily we damn, but in the long run, what is truth? as Pontius Pilate said.
I was jogging up the East River yesterday, adjacent to Harlem and three gang bangers are walking my way. One starts giving me "a stare" at about 40 yards and begins to grab his crotch (I am a man and this was not a homo thing, it was an attempt at intimidation) and as I got closer he swaggered a little into my path, but not entirely. He stared me down as I jogged by, silently mouthing some stupid profanity as he shook his cupped hand over his fly. I am a gentleman and a scholar and would have wrung his stupid ghetto pig neck, probably, if it wouldn't have ended in my murder or his. That would have surely complicated my life, which I've taken great pains to smooth out in recent years. I am glad I didn't. When I jogged back the other way, they had already gone. Oh well, human, all too human. There is no hope for some people. The Indian guy who runs the deli where I get salads made said the kids come in after school and steal his candy and other things when he turns his back to take their order. So he tells them now, "the deli is closed". I asked him tonight if he ever confronted them and what did they say. He says, in a heavy Indian accent, "Sir, they use profanity and say nigger this and nigger that and call me names. They blame all their problems on other people and do nothing for themselves."

...so is this to blame for the price of petrol or the cost of a pint or the outrageous!!! penalty for being a contageous smoker, as if having a drink in a pub isn't bad enuff?
my manager is a Jamaican passport holder, he came here in 1966.
pubs struggle, ppl want community for their money, since cheap beer is out of the equation.

[Nanouk, you havent been here for awhile, so ill let you in on the latest protocols. We all love C-man AND his posts--but he's a very sensitive fellow. Since we don't want him to flee like a frightened virgin (for we really like his company)--we have all agreed to give him only POSITIVE FEEDBACK. While this is MUCH slower in getting training results than a good woup-ass (preferably self-administered) it is said by some to work eventually, perhaps after 3,000 "modellings" (that's what this type of trainer calls a liver-flavored bisquit).
(so i wouldn't mention to Craazy, that perhaps if his vibe was more Buddha-like and less pugnacious stallion with a ginger plug up his ass, maybe the Gammas wouldn't have the urge to grab their privates in his presence).

Not the Alphas or the Betas, obviously...i agree Willow, i am out of touch with this community , and to be honest, i am on my way to leave this Planet again for a while...Austria, N.Y., Burma, Afghanistan, California Uber Alles, all i wanna do is to bury my nose into the Bluebells and the peaty forest floor!
have been trying to earn a living for a couple of years now as a licensed therapist behind a T-bar and a Char Grill for a while but the rigmourall(eng) is really getting to me (again).
I am SO tempted to become a forrager (again) and let my kids play with pine cones and feathers and bones yet (again). My spirit is fading and no matter how many miles i walk, there is always someone that has driven more,
Love and Respect,
