c'mon Drew, that's just what they said 2000 years ago.
How do you really know?
The orientals have the same problem with the buddah, just 'cause somebody comes over and grabs your pocket begging for changes doesn't mean they're a simple peasant, oh no, but with a few hundred million poor folks it gets complicated.

I would go ahead and talk to him anyway, Drew, a decision justified by the same logic that Blaise Pascal used in his famous "wager".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_Wager
If he is Jesus, then it would be a good idea to talk to him. If he isn't Jesus (which is the overwhelming probability bordering on a near certainty), then it still might be amusing, with no downside.

OK last night I was in full-lotus till -- can't remember -- probably around 1 a.m., the usual. I sit in full-lotus at home starting at 11 pm. Anyway so I'm asleep but wake up at 2 a.m. after having this amazing internal climax. Strange thing is I have to piss really bad as well -- so I get back and think about ... what was it... transmission of energy or something. I was wondering why I had this amazing internal climax. Then I hear, all of a sudden, my roommate and his loud girlfriend at the height of her passion -- HA HA! I realized, AH, that's why I had the internal climax -- she was sucking up my energy. I know this because it's quite common for her to do. So I go into full-lotus and she continues her climaxes and I continue mine and he his --- haha. So they're done and I'm thinking c'mon people! What the hell! I have a couple more climaxes and then fall back asleep. I wake up again at 4 a.m. having to piss really bad -- shit I've wet myself! haha. Lost the alchemical pill -- but no -- it appears to be mainly just the clear stuff, not the real alchemical pill. It appears that my full-lotus practice transmuted the jing enough into chi so that I didn't lose too much energy. Yeah then more O at a Ds in the house this morning.
Today's elixir was tea tree oil and listerine -- dangerous combo but very effective! haha.
So then I did a full McD's meal with a couple O at a Ds that livened up the booth next to me. Then it was off to this old time donut shop on the way south side of town. But first I stopped at a park to piss and read while Somalians soaked up my energy. Then some Native American high schoolers forced to clean for the county stopped by. That session at the park was a long one of full-lotus -- probably 10 "O at a Ds" -- but whose counting?
The donut shop owner who knows me says:
ARE YOU COMFORTABLE? I just laughed. So he asks again -- he's obviously flabbergasted at my full-lotus antics. I say, "Of course" and continue reading my BOOK OF THE DAMNED by Charles Fort. OK I shot energy into him as he needed it and soaked it up. Then off to BK. But first some "O at a Ds" at a local Mexican restaurant-cafe which now features an older female worker who had worked closest to my neighborhood in the city. I had wondered what had happened to her. Jarritos and the Book of the Damned and Full-Lotus energy shooting into her. Female display behavior on her part, just as with the Somalian females, just as with the Native American female, just as with the white female and the....
At BK, these twerpy annoying loud boys were challenged by the full-lotus.
WOAH! One exclaimed after seeing me in full-lotus. "I remember him from last year" he states, and they stood in front of me expecting me to stop reading. No -- they kept just screaming this high pitch whining noise -- so they needed to learn some respect.
DID YOU SEE IT MOVE? One exclaimed as my vagus nerve pumped energy into my pineal gland which shot it out into the boys. Off they went, but later they got serious enough to state that obviously I was "anti-Christian" since I was "Buddhist." Good -- a decent intellectual conversation for them. And so the O at a Ds continued at BK and off I went, biking into the sunset, another day of full-lotus freedom.

Lord CM.
That was a bit of the greatest insight to the life and times of JC Superstar I have seen.
This is the way it is Hemp.JC was the Son of Man,I am the Son of woman.I know what my name is at times.Dr John D. Son NMD,psychiatry.
Clearly Hemp-no pun intended-somebody had to do it and he did and through his acts the stage is set for Allah.
Praise be to Gott and the lords of Justice.
Now then, coming down a bit,it says very few people ,during the time of great tribiulation will survive.I think we are on the verge of another ice age.It is a consequence of Global warming. The plant world grows rapidly, producing a rise in the amt of sugar consequently more water is lost and mother nature tries to hang onto what is left by freezing it.Hence an Ice Age.
It is time.:hmm:

Yes, Pascal is an odd case. It's kind of amazing that his way of thinking was novel and strange in his time. Now days, odds and probabilities are so common sense that it's hard to imagine people didn't always think that way. I am always amazed by the variety of expressions of consciousness. It's almost something like water or plastic, that can be formed and molded into all sorts of frameworks of perception.
The same holds true, and even more so to my mind, regarding his contemporary Descarte. Today, graphing data on an x and y axis is so ubiquitous, so common sense that's its also hard to believe people didn't always think that way and envision data that way.
The difference between how we think and how someone in the Gothic age would have thought is really huge. It's almost like we're different species.

Go for it. Look there's two choices:
1) civilization
2) Gurdjieff.
I'm not saying that Beezlebub's Tale wasn't written after Gurdjieff had a near-mortal car accident and his manuscript was watered down and destroyed by idiotic Civilized dip-shits.
On the other hand what else is there to do? Gurdjieff was the real thing -- it's not his fault his publisher and editor (Orage), etc., didn't "understand" him and therefore tried to change the MEANING of his writing!!
So Bennett pointing out that Gurdjieff's earlier unpublished manuscript contained Gurdjieff's concept of the
FEMALE FORMLESS AWARENESS
is most important.
But then I already know that so I can go into Beezelbub's as a nice alternative to that which is otherwise most dreadful:
CIVILIZATION.

it doesn't HAVE to be full-lotus--as is said, "There are many rooms in my Father's mansion."
And many doors.
I find playing on Monkey bars, (ie for those poor souls who might have forgotten, swinging by one's arms, and hanging upside down by one's knees) is perfectly efficacious in engendering a mighty
O at D.
Do you suspect, Drew, that sometimes the jis from many souls flows; is funneled into the artist?

OK so you admit that MALES are basically living in a false world of evil right? haha:
OK so my dad's in the car. I go, sit in full-lotus, a drive down to the village store. He parks while going into the post office. A young female and her dad walk by. The pineal gland shoots energy into her, she's sucking it up, my vagus nerve pulsating. Mutual climax. They go into the post office. Come out -- her dad says hi to me and I say hi back -- smiles everyone!
That's my life -- O at a Ds with the dog last night. He needs healing -- 13 years old! His back legs barely work. Full-lotus for about an hour next to him -- hands on him -- sucking up his extra energy (disharmonized electrochemicals) -- transforming it into chi-light through the full-lotus -- vagus nerve pulsating -- pineal gland shooting it back into the dog.

i have a question drew. i have no idea what you are talking about most of the time (which i take as my failing), i mean i get that you believe you are having mutual o at a d's with all these females but the mutual part escapes me - my question is: how exactly is it that you know these women know they are having this mutual oatad with you?
ps you wanted my "video" and i just found one! www.youtube.com/user/dervaes?ob=1 there was a blip about them on cnn last night. the cnn blip showed their outdoor summer shower which drained into the garden, made with a black hose wound up to provide the solar heating, and their sink above the water closet that feeds sink water into it. pretty simple stuff.
it should be on another of these threads but i wanted to make sure you saw it since you asked for it.

well, I watched that whole video and have to say that really is remarkable. Growing all that food on a single family lot is really impressive.
But consider that, historically speaking, mass migrations and famines were often the result of concentrated agriculture and climate pattern change (e.g. Jared Diamond's "Collapse"). I am skeptical that complete local self-sufficiency is feasible in our society or even in the Western world. And if the self-sufficiency is not complete, then some larger network is required. Of course, none of this is to say that what that family is doing isn't really cool and impressive.
For a whole society that lives that way, it may work for a decade or two, or a generation, but then will come a flood or some other natural catastrophe that will produce a famine. Some people might live so close to nature as to not feel the difference between life and death. Maybe that is enlightenment. But for most people, I think they'd panic and all hell would break loose.

u sure take the Yin and Yang seriously, Drew, every time i read ure posts, it is about "extracting" energy from a female to give u a climax and giving energy to a male....u love ure burger joints too, especially the global giants, i am all for fetischism,
but the full lotus and the Big Mac in combination takes the price in achieveing an orgasm....
it is good to love oneself, otherwise it is difficult to extend this love to other's,
but "masturbating" on a higher astral plane is something that gets people locked up in the end.

Now, where is Whitewaves, Charlie, Thom, Rob P., i know you are still here Willow...Forteanajones, K.L....Manning? We were all tryimg to break open the head, and ask advice, provide info for those soul seekers worthy of our time...it has just turned in to a whailing wall...no opening of doors...
i thank every moderator and Daniel, although i think he is a member of a pop culture and unless his Quetz speaks through him again, he will watch and (try to) converse with hippy chicks on aya riding faux elephants in cafe's til his ears are shutting...for providing this space....
But, i have to go back to base, The Book of The Law...and watch the microcosm around me.
I thought this forum was about exploring Shamanism, why we were attracted to this space was surely Shamanism, and how to increase our understanding about the World, and the differetials therein?

but the truth is, I have found that being flooded with a feeling of simple gratitude for the symphony G-d is presently conducting, is indeed a little taste of Heaven.

McDonald's isn't all bad. I like their milk shakes, and they do a pretty good job with their salads -- except the rubber chicken they cut up into them could bounce like a superball.
I don't eat their burgers anymore, mostly because of the fat content. And I also worry about the cattle. I do eat burgers but only organic ones.

Ok so here's the deal. First of all I have resorted to excessive Listerine intake due to my stubborn insistance on eating a "normal" diet -- that which is in front of the stomachs of those I engage with.
Secondly -- fast food restaurants tend to accumulate, based on my "expert" experience," people who are a) not too repressed because they're not fixated on climbing the bourgeois ladder b) convinced by the "glamour" of the Hollywood "tie-in" marketing, etc.
OK so all your all guilt trips are just as real as any "O at a D" I've ever had. I hope your happy! haha.
The full-lotus is not me -- it just appears to be me while I sit in it.
Ponder that while I go finish sorting turf waiting for the mint listerine to wear off.
Also -- just for the record -- I spent $10 today on Japanese dried seaweed and another $7 on Indian Curry packaged for Chinese Americans. God bless this fucking insane imperial illness called the "melting pot."
I hope you all get majorly stoned either tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for sharing and condemning me and also spewing all your toxic love-juice all, psychically, over me. Don't think I'm not keen to your little games.

I will also eat Egg McMuffins, but I usually peel off about half the cheese slice.
I don't see anything wrong with doing full lotus at McDonald's although I can't imagine being that limber. There is nothing wrong with admiring pretty young girls, if you can control yourself.
My mother would try to make Egg McMuffins when we were kids, but the English muffin was always hard-toasted and crunchy and the fried egg was overcooked and crisp and browned on the sides. It would spill out over the edges of the muffin and bits of the hard toasted muffin would fall on the plate as I chewed.
It was nothing like McDonald's soft and round perfection.
I would look at my mom in the kitchen, the smoke from bacon frying and toast burning, and I would feel sorry for her. It would hurt me in my throat and in the nerves in my stomach. Doesn't she know how to make an Egg McMuffin? It seemed simple to me. A matter of simple proportions and the avoidance of excess. How could she not know?
Or maybe she just didn't care enough to do it right. That thought bothered me even more. Either way, it bothered me.
Over time, I have concluded that people generally do the best they can in all things, struggling to see through the blindness of the flesh and to feel through the cages of instinct and repression. I try to be more thankful now.

"That's the real signal in all of this. Everything else is just noise."
Yeah I was just reading neuroscience John R. Smythies' work through Science Citation Index. He was referenced in John Geiger's book "Chapel of Extreme Experience" about Bryon Gysin's "dream machine" -- a strobe light to produce theta scintillating visual sensations while your eyes are closed.
Anyway so Smythies' does the same for neuroscience as what you, Kimball, do for "ufology." Smythies' own research was an extension of earlier olfactory bulb studies, proving that, in fact, the brain works on what he calls "AM" functions -- amplitude modification.
So it's not what the signal is -- there is no "one-to-one" map of brain to "mind" perceptions (even though this continues to be the mainstream science "nuts and bolts" view). Instead the same neuron synapses are used for different sensations so that the same smell activated after a second smell, will now use different neurons. The synapse connections are constantly changing every tenth of a second.
In other words what's a "signal" and what's "noise" is based on nonlinear statistics -- what science calls "quantum chaos." They need supercomputers to model this stuff but actual "reality" is too complex (for example the mind of the planet -- the Amazon rainforest).
Of course if you get into analyzing what signal and noise means via amplitude, frequency, phase-shift -- from a fundamentally nonlinear, non-deterministic framework then on a logically level it's proven that science itself is just another "dream machine."

Well pp. 680-2 in the edition I have (Random House, 1934) are especially interesting since he's detailing the tone of voice of females as an indescribably rich identifier of their identity. He gives some examples of things they may or may not say (but still think) depending on their age but still emphasizes that the meaning of the voice is beyond words. I can dig that but still Proust didn't take that clue far enough. haha.
