Icannot understand...that's the problem. No matter how much input I get...it can't be sorted. Information overload. A planned deception by those who hold power over us. Where may I find the peace I am entitled to pursue?

I want to leave this fuc%#@ up world, and take with me the memories needed to help in my growth. I want to learn how to be selfish again. To worry only for my sake. I have lost this to others.

Am I just a wimpy dude looking for an easy out? I'd like to think otherwise. I like to work(at things I'm interested in) I don't mind sweating at a job. I ain't lazy except for Sundays.

SOS HELP. Advise. Gimme some direction in this ever fast paced changing world. Sometimes I wish that my small town dream of a place where everybody is familiar with everone else, ain't such a bad thing after all. I think that kind of security gives a peace of mind that can't be found anywhere else. Can I find security in this James Bond mentality of a planet?

I want to go on a vacation. I want to come back strengthened, fortified, and ready to face any and all that come my way. I wish to be equipped
spiritually, soulfully, minfully, physically, and focused beyond approach. Can this be done forme? Can anyone point me to whereto go?. I refuse to admit I wish for an easier way that digging in the dirt and making my way. I want help and I can't seem to find it. I'm a candidate for brainwashing.

If information overload is preventing you from understanding which is leaving you feeling lost, angry or depressed... Then if it we me I would try to eliminate the excessive information inputted to my brain, sticking to the basics needed only to survive until I've formulated the desired direction to go.

The peace you look for is in you hidden from your current perspective. There are many ways to change our perspectives some better than others.

The foundation of our being is truly influenced by the diet we choose. Many mental illnesses can be attributed to imbalances within the individual. So it goes we are what we eat to a certain sense. Just more data.

What works best for me is being outside in nature either working with plants in a garden or hiking, biking and living in the moment while doing these things. This gives me peace and recharges my batteries so I can go face the music of the world. I must be selfish for my spiritual growth that I may in turn be selfless to those and the world around me.

I've felt quite the same way as of recent eye2you. I lack a major direction, and realized how unhappy I am with my short list of hobbies. That and the feeling that the sky is falling on us all has made me weary, drained(emotionally and physically) and just rather unsatisfied with my life so far. Im slowly gaining direction with simple goals I believe in, but the direction of the future still awaits.

Now, as important as I find understanding the future.. it is no small task these days it seems. Especially with what seems to be the birthing pangs of our global community into human understanding. So, imagine then, all 6 billion people or so on this home of ours is realizing that we're all more connected than we previously realized or imagined we could be. Theres no doubt that there are countless others experiencing some kind of anxiety over the tremendous issues at hand, whether locally or halfway across the world. But.. isn't that just the beginning of the concepts' beauty? Ignorance can only pave the way for understanding.. I think. tongue.gif So move to your small town (I plan on moving back to a family farm at some point myself) or just find beauty in the choas of reality where you live! I won't judge you for your choices, but it has come to me that others will for lack of them. Also remember, opportunity knocks often, sometimes from the smallest concievable door. Anyhow.. I hope you find what you're seeking! smile.gif

My response to the cry of information overload is: Deal with it!

In the Qabala, the basic virtue of the Earth Plane (our realm) is: Discrimination. We all must now become masters of discrimination, aware that all news sources may be polluted, that history itself can be staged or faked. What we need to use is what Rene Guenon called: "Intellectual intuition." All of us have a fundamentally sound compass in our head, which is our intuition.

Don't accept the media's purveying of info-fear and the endless narcosis of narratives. Find creative ways to respond to what is most important in our current situation - climate change, the threat of war, the corporate "suicide system." Pursue enlightenment through engagement with this society, not retreat from it.

As Gurdjieff said: "Ordinary effort does not count. Only super-effort counts."

I agree with you Daniel, discrimination is the way, and each person discriminates by expression of their free will. First, it is impossible to retreat from society completely, unless you weren't a part of one to begin with - a clone? Second, location is meaningless now (the point - that there is no location, everything happening everywhere is able to exist/be known everywhere, whether true or not - the end of history as we understand it) - besides from personal discrimination. It must be true that the media is polluted.. people run it, they have their own discrimination and the ability to gain power over their physical world. That doesn't mean they sacrifice that for the spiritual.. theres always equilibrium, in my opinion, its the assumption of control over others that is wrong, in my opinion. My father was born a farmer.. he is now in the business world, but if you were to ask me, I'd say he did that for the exploitation of it, ie. he's still a farmer at *heart* and a damned intelligent man, in my opinion. To gain the ability to do what he wanted, overcoming, yet becoming part of the system. But thats the point.. the current system is inherently flawed because people run it, there is no perfect system, but the ones we create in our mind(s) and the ones that grow naturally. Though.. all systems do grow and change over time, naurally. ;) Religion is becoming obsolete because the congruent meanings in all of them are being understood, economy is ruling the planet.. is the concept of economy inherently wrong? No, in my opinion. It's the people that use it to control others that give it the bad name it has. So my point is, the only way to change a system is to do it from the inside, unless you want to become what I hate the most, the controller - which I may have just become by purporting how not to. lol, so, my advice, do what makes life worth living, find your most relaxing learning environment and exploit it for your own good and understand that everyone has something useful to say. Unless you like destructive forces *shrug* I prefer constructive.. :D Just the humble opinion of 1/6 billionth of what the planet knows.
Good luck!
