Based on his work with the I Ching, algorhythms, and the Mayan calander, Terence McKenna theorized a "dimensional shift" to take place in 2012. Some people believe that this shift is already underway - including the crop circle researcher Michael Glickman. To paraphrase, Glickman thinks that this shift, predicted by many crop formations, can be recognized through the following indicators: 1. Time speeding up. 2. Karmic effects happening almost instantly. 3. Subtle experiences that break the rules of the Newtonian-Cartesian Universe. 4. Increasing psychic experiences. 5. Objects mischeviously appearing and vanishing. Etc.
What might be happening could be described as "The Collapse of the 32nd Path" in the Tarot. This is the path between the Earth Plane and the Astral Plane. Do other people feel that this collapse is taking place and even accelerating? If so, how do we deal with it or prepare for it? Where will it lead us? What the hell is going on?

on my last day on the playa, enchanted forest was visited by a praying mantis.
it was very beautiful, and oddly playa colored. Was it covered in playa dust or
was that its natural shading? personally, i find it hard to believe that a
praying mantis would "hitch a ride" to brc, so mantises must be native
residents and adapted to life there. but where is their food? hmmmm... maybe
the mantises live on the edge of the playa, and during burningman they sense
something (#!^@) that makes them come to camp. any explainations of mantises on
the playa? thank you.

I have a theoretical answer for you, but it is strange.

Every year I also meet a praying mantis on the playa.

I suspect they are "probes" from an ancient, extraterrestrial civilization that is far more developed than our own. Many people encounter advanced "praying mantis entities" during DMT and psilocybin trips - sometimes they extend shamanic help. Some tribal shamans know about our galactic praying mantis space brothers. They say they come from "planet where it is warm and wet." They visit Burning Man every year to keep tabs on the evolution of human consciousness, as Burning Man is one of the cutting edge sites of that evolution. Once we get past the Mayan end-date of 2012 and transform our planet from a "technosphere" to a "noosphere," as Jose Arguelles writes in his new book Time and the Technosphere, we will be able to interact as partners with this praying mantis society. They are waiting, patiently, for us to get our act together.

I wonder what it is going to be like to interact with the super-advanced group mind of an insectile star-faring race?

We will connect up to an overall dreaming/network hyperdimensioal primary intelligent complex of creation which will capacitate the flowering of the human species!
(at the moment, we're all a bit like wooden stems)
And like Terrence said, the purpose of evolution is to have a good party and make friends!

I'd say all it means is that possibility and reality will merge (somehow - its something we don't understand yet, so we have many ways of saying it, I think) and allow us to see *the* best way to globally coexist and further develop/progress every facet of human life in harmony, yet still hold cultural traditions. Simply put, we'll understand how/why history repeats itself and pull us out of the drudgery that seems rampant around the world. It should be great.. but only for those who are willing smile.gif Heres my assumption, the world runs on logic.. Theres: 0 - doing nothing, 1 - creating, -1 - destroying, and 11 - the "best" way to do things, I don't know what *the* best is.. I'd think it's the global community knowing the past - why it was the way it was, why religions start/operate and seeing that all truths are equivocal. Of course, the initial conception of all of this will more than likely be quite messy I think..

I imagined it this way.. with every decision made a multitude more possible decisions are affected/created (but all possibilities should/would probably be explored somehow) then the opportunity to wield one's free will should either increase or decrease depending on what one considers "bad" or "good" - for instance, the concept of global war isn't "bad" or "good" itself, but I consider the act of global war "bad" - now, I assume everyone who knows that the concept of global war exists to either think its bad or good depending on their personal values, so the consensus is predetermined. Now, lets say global war happens.. those that wanted the war will thrive, they will have increased ability to wield thier will (especially over others), because they live/thrive off of it and trends will probably continue until the world finds a better ways to deal with itself. If global war doesn't happen, those who think its bad will have a whole world to give meaning to. Though there are other completely independant variables.. but thats basically it, I think. So if it all boils down to deciding between constructive forces and destructive choices - I'd suggest to choose wisely, know your self, do what you can to live your dreams and as always, good luck smile.gif
