Shiva destroys the Three Aerial Cities
In hindu mythology there is a tale of three cities built on earth (or at least in the story, you know how the always say it's earth), one on earth one in the sky and one in the aether as an award to the anti-gods for there devotion, the story says these cities would be filled with all the riches and what not, and would be protected so the gods could not capture them. As the three anti-gods of these cities grew in power Vishnu decided he wanted them destroyed. However the only way they could be was when every so often as the three city's aligned Shiva could destroy them with one arrow, Vishnu baid her to do so but the anti-gods were devotees of Shiva, so she refused. However these anti-gods were gaining in power and were tipping the balance of power in the universe to their side. there power though, was dependent on there devotion to Shiva, so Vishnu thought of a plan where he created three priests and infiltrated the cities and the priests strayed the anti-gods from their spiritual duties, wives stopped caring for there husbands, husbands adulterated with other women, people stole and murdered without reason. Vishnu pointed out how they have gone a stray and Shiva agreed to kill them. A Golden Chariot and special arrow were constructed for him, the sun was the right wheel and the moon was it's left. The spokes were many deities and constellations embellished it's sides. The Veda's were the horses which drew it and Brahma was it's charioteer. In other words the entire universe was built into this chariot, and Shiva stood in readiness for thousands of years waiting for the three cities to converge in alignment. At the perfect moment, Shiva drew his bow and released an arrow as bright as countless suns reducing the cities to ash.
Hmmm, that story reminds me of something...
... I wonder...
Oh, does that not remind you of OUR SITUATION at ALL.
