To those who are experienced...
I recently ordered a Ayahuasca kit online from a vendor that I get my other supplies from and when my kit arrived the recipe was pretty vague. Can someone give me a Ayahuasca recipe for dummies? Banisteriopsis caapi Chacruna (Psychotria viridis) This kit says it's enough for one person. My understanding is that I grind up both plants, then boil them in water for 3 hours, then straing the water and plant into another pot, Put on a new pot of water, put the plants in there and boil that down for 3 hours, then lastly combine the two mixtures of water and boil that down to a drinkable portion.... This is probably way wrong, so anyone who's experienced in a home brew please help me out...

Well, you have grasped the basics, I usually cook 3+3+2 hours.
Often the ingredients in the "kits" are not enough for a full experience, how much was it supposed to be? I would suggest that you visit www.ayahuasca.com and have a look, but don't post the same message there until you have read up on it a bit |

And when you get to ayahuasca.com, click on "forums."
You don't really need to grind the plants, just shred the vine, by smashing it (reverently). It isn't just a mechanical process, it is a spiritual process, learning to commune with the Plant spirits as you are preparing them.

You could always extract harmaline from Syrian Rue, DMT from MHRB and capsule them in gel caps.

amoneymoore, if your still following this thread you can usually get empty gel caps, not made of gelatin, from Wild Oats or other natural food stores.

Just as long as you realize that what you are doing is not Ayahuasca at all.
