Default Dan Carpenter and Psychonaut's Guide

just finished reading Dan Carpenter's book and psychedelic adventures
and explorations using
DXM;

he died in 2005 ; died rather young; 42 !

anyone, out there, have a response to his work and explorations;

finding the Oneness, One Mind, and all being-in-it experience;

he mentions being in northeastern Pa. and meeting native americans
there;

anyone, meet and know Dan personally and the natives in PA.;

I live in northeastern PA.

What synchronicity.
Dan was a respected contributor to this site until he jumped off a bridge near NYC.

Oh, I think I know who you might mean.

Is he the guy who wrote under the name D. M. Turner, and who passed away in his bath?

Dna.

No!

Below is a 16th century inscription on a crucifix that I first heard recited by Ram Dass or Richard Albert in the late 60’s. I sent this to Danny’s sister when she was looking for things to be offered for a family and or group memorial.

She wrote back her appreciation and said she would use it.

I am the great sun
But you do not see me

I am your husband
But you turn away

I am the captive
But you do not free me

I am the captain
You will not obey

I am the truth
But you will not believe me

I am that city
Where you will not stay

I am your wife your child
But you will leave me

I am that god
To whom you will not pray

I am your council but
You do not hear me

I am your lover whom
You will betray

I am the victor but
You do not share me

I am the holy dove
That you will slay

I am your life
But if you will
Not name me
Seal up your
Soul tears
And never blame me

Oh such beautiful poetry Sidecross.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
For those of you who care,and you can read posts from the last few days before he jumped off the bridge,Michael Heany is another one of our psychonauts.
May we Oh lord,learn from what he offered in his writing and his true love for your presence..

So, has anyone here read Halfglass's book? What are people's feelings about guides to the inner worlds - are they useful? Veraduerga, what did you think?

I haven't read it, being not much interested in DXM cartography, but then, i always enjoyed Dan's posts here so maybe i should check it out.

Halfglass, (Dan Carpenter) wrote here often until he died nearly two years ago. I had personal correspondence with him, and he sent me his draft copy of the book which eventually became published. His death was a great shock to me, and many of the others who posted here. I understand that he had suffered Alcohol problems for many years before his death. There is a whole thread dedicated to his passing on one of the topic areas on this site.

I miss his presence here. He wrote well, and had many insightful things to say. One thing i will always remember him for is a small quote from his book, "the brain is in the mind". So simple and elegant.

Rest in peace Dan.

I hadn't realized there was already a thread for this. I posted some of my thoughts on the topic here.
