I am a long time fan of the band Tool. Their music and artwork always references very interesting topics in philosophy; such as universal consciousness, numerology, mythology, ect ect. Their newest album is called 10,000 days, and according to their webmaster, the pictures of the band coupled with the ambiguous and dualistic references in the music, conceals a puzzle that has yet to be solved.
Tool is a very deliberate artistic group. Nothing goes into their creation without meaning. The pictures of the band members (which are very rare because of their emphasis on the artwork, and not on the image) displays an array of items and symbols that references a higher, collective meaning. They reference Tarot, Collective Unconscious, many works of Crowley, spirituality, will, and alternate dimensions. I've just barely tapped into the symbolism behind it, and realized that I've stepped into a vast ocean of information. This is how I came across Mr. Pinchbeck's book, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. The majority of the book reinforced a lot of the ideas that Tool was trying to convey in their most recent work. I'm wondering if anyone on this forum is aware of this work, and maybe could give me their perspective or insight into this perplexing puzzle. If not, I highly suggest you pick the album up. This is a revolutionary musical group in my opinion. They are not only very well educated, but they are artistically genuine, which is very rare in musical groups nowadays. The album artwork also incorporates a brilliant stereoscopic-lens design that I can't even describe with text. I currently am an active poster on a Tool forum on a semi-official site.... Unfortunately, 90 percent of the users on that site are very unproductive and immature. Forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse, I'm unaware of the backgrounds of the users on this forum, and evidently too lazy to read through past posts as of yet. |

Most Definetly. He's by far my favorite artist... As soon as I get out of school and save a decent sum of money, I planned on taking a trip to NY just for the COSM. I hear they also perform spiritual ceremonies such as marriage... I might be checking into that sometime soon. |
